Hair fall combined with dandruff at a young age can often be a sign of underlying imbalances in your body, from an Ayurvedic perspective. Let’s break it down to see what you can do. In Ayurveda, such issues are often associated with an imbalance of Pitta dosha, which could be aggravated due to diet and lifestyle habits. Here, keeping your Pitta balanced can be key to managing your concerns effectively.
Firstly, your diet. While rice, dal, chicken, egg and vegetables are good, you may want to incorporate more cooling and nourishing foods to pacify Pitta. Include foods like cucumber, ghee, coconut, and fruits such as sweet grapes, melons, and peaches. Avoid spicy, oily, and fried foods which might increase Pitta further.
For your lifestyle, consider regular exercise but avoid doing so during peak heat periods of the day as this can increase body heat. Practicing yoga and meditation can also help in calming the mind and reducing stress, which greatly impacts hair health.
For topical application, massaging the scalp with coconut oil or bhringraj oil two to three times a week can profoundly benefit, as these oils help to nourish hair roots and reduce dandruff. Leave the oil on overnight or for at least 30 minutes before washing your hair with a gentle herbal shampoo.
Herbal remedies such as amalaki (Indian gooseberry) are beneficial due to their high Vitamin C content; you can consume it either in raw form or as a juice. Shatavari and Brahmi can be considered for internal intake to balance Pitta but should be consulted with an Ayurvedic professional for proper dosage.
Regarding your dandruff and body hair loss, it might be wise to consider consulting with an Ayurvedic practitioner for personalized assessment if these tips do not alleviate the issues within a month. Balancing Tridoshas requires a combined effort from diet, lifestyle, and self-care regimens which, when tailored correctly, can improve your symptoms significantly.
