Given your persisting nasal congestion and headache despite taking a course of Azithromycin and Levocetirizine, it’s important first to consider the possibility of underlying dosha imbalances. In Ayurveda, congestion typically relates to an aggravated Kapha dosha, which can increase mucus production and lead to symptoms like nasal blockage and wet cough.

Begin with dietary adjustments to pacify Kapha. Reduce intake of cold foods and drinks, dairy products, and sugar, which can contribute to mucus formation. Favor warm, cooked foods, and include spices like ginger, black pepper, and turmeric in your meals to enhance Agni or digestive fire, helping to break down the congestion. Drink warm water throughout the day to liquefy and expel mucus.

Nasya, an Ayurvedic nasal therapy, might help clear nasal passages. Apply a couple of warm sesame oil drops or Anu Taila in each nostril every morning on an empty stomach. This should be done only after consulting an Ayurvedic practioner, ensuring it’s safe for your condition.

Encourage regular steam inhalation. Boil water with a few drops of eucalyptus oil or a tablespoon of Ajwain seeds, and inhale the steam for around 10 minutes to clear respiratory passages. Repeat this twice daily.

Ensure rest and proper hydration as these are critical for recovery. By evening, avoid exposure to cold environments and ensure warmth, allowing Kapha to dissipate. Try mild exercise like walking or simple yoga postures to stimulate movement and circulation, contributing to elimination of excess Kapha.

If symptoms persist or worsen, consult a healthcare professional immediately, as prolonged congestion may indicate sinusitis or other complicative respiratory conditions. Prompt allopathic diagnostics might be required to rule out infections or need necessity for further investigation.
