Hello I‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ really appreciate you sharing your problem with me. Scalp becoming more visible, hair strands becoming thinner, and hair density going down—as a Pitta prakriti individual—these symptoms most likely show that the root cause is Pitta aggravation with Vata involved in the hair shaft making the hair thinner, heating it, and the follicles becoming weak.

✅AYURVEDIC UNDERSTANDING Your Pitta prakriti is already heated more than normal:

👉 Excess Pitta= Hair thinning + premature weakening of roots 👉 Vata in scalp= Less nourishment= Thin strands 👉 Rakta Dhatu stress = Visible scalp due to poor circulation

We want to cool Pitta, nourish roots, strengthen follicles, and thicken individual hair strands.

✅ AYURVEDIC TREATMENT PLAN

✅ INTERNAL MEDICATION

1. Amla Capsules - 1 capsule twice daily – Pitta–shamak – Thickens hair – Improves follicle strength

2. Bhringraj Capsule - 1 capsule twice daily – most necessary for hair regrowth – Activates dormant follicles – Decreases scalp visibility

3. Yashtimadhu (Licorice) at bedtime - ½ tsp with warm milk at bedtime. –Cools Pitta –Increases hair density –Nourishes scalp tissues

4. Saptamrit Lauh (Only if mild eye strain or heat-) 1 tablet twice after food. Supports hair + eyes + Pitta balance

✅ EXTERNAL AYURVEDIC REMEDIES

1. Bhringraj Oil (Most Important) – Regrows hair – Thickens thin strands – Reduces Pitta heat Apply 3 times/week and leave for 30–60 minutes.

2. Neelibhringadi Tailam (Cooling & Hair Thickening) Great for a Pitta type of scalp. Put it on alternate days.

3. Aloe Vera Gel + Castor Oil Scalp Pack – Castor oil strengthens and thickens – Aloe vera helps in cooling Pitta 2 tbsp aloe gel + 1 tsp castor oil, apply 30 minutes weekly.

4. Fenugreek (Methi) Hair PacK – Helps to make hair thicker – Shedding gets reduced

Take 2 tbsp of methi and soak it overnight → grind it → apply 20 minutes → wash.

✅DIET AND LIFESTYLE MODIFICATION

✔️Foods to Increase Hair Density Amla, pomegranate, grapes Ghee (½–1 tsp daily) Coconut water Moong dal Milk (if digestion is good) Black sesame seeds Dates & raisins

❌Foods to Avoid (Help Pitta)

Hot and spicy dishes Fermented food Excess oil & deep-frying Coffee, tea Curd at night Too much heat exposure & hot water rinse for head

✅SIMPLE. HOME. REMEDIES

A) Aloe + Amla + Coconut Milk Mask – Makes hair thicker – Gives volume – Works as a cold agent for Pitta

They should be mixed in equal parts and put on once a week.

B) Rice Water Rinse (Weekly) – Makes hair follicles stronger – Helps that the hair is not thinning – Gives volume

C) Hibiscus Flower Paste – Helps to regrow hair – Hair becomes thicker Paste application 30 minutes weekly.

You have a pitta prakriti, so your scalp needs cooling, gentle nourishment, not heavy based products

If you follow the internal + external plan regularly your hair density will improve safely and naturally

Warm regards, Dr Snehal Vidhate

Keep body hydrated. Include all types of seeds and nuts in your diet. Also pomegranate, raisins, dates etc. Hair growth depends on overall nutrition and healthy lifestyle.

1. Bhringaamalakyadi kera tailam for head massage twice in a week. 2. Hair wash with triphala choornam boiled water daily.

If you are interested in making homemeade hair spray and hair pack. Boil fenugreek seeds, flax seed, rice and kalongi seeds in water and drain the content. Use boiled water as hair spray and drained thing as hair pack by grinding it. You can refrigerate the content but make sure while using it is at room temperature.

Take care, Dr. Shaniba

To increase the density of your hair, especially with a pitta prakriti, it is essential to balance the excess pitta which could be causing the thinning. First, let us consider your diet. Focus on a diet rich in cooling and nourishing foods. Add a lot of leafy green vegetables like spinach and kale. Foods rich in protein such as lentils, beans, and quinoa, can support hair growth as hair is made of protein. Try adding almonds and walnuts for their healthy fats, which are great for your scalp.

Cooling herbs are beneficial—you might consider consuming amla (Indian gooseberry) powder, 1 teaspoon mixed with water, daily in the morning. It not only cools the pitta but also nourishes hair follicles from within.

Too much heat can be adversaries so avoid oily and spicy foods, as these can aggravate Pitta. Also, maintain proper hydration; drink plenty of water to keep your body and scalp hydrated.

For topical remedies, coconut oil or bhringraj oil can be used for scalp massages, an hour before washing your hair. Massage gently as this will improve blood circulation and benefit hair follicles. Hair massage can be done twice a week.

Additionally, stress management is important. Engage in yoga or meditation as they help in reducing stress naturally, which in turn affects hair health beneficially. Shirsasana, or headstand, if you are comfortable, can be performed to improve blood circulation to the scalp but seek guidance to practice it safely.

Regularly clean your scalp but ensure you use a mild shampoo free from harsh chemicals. As pitta is linked with heat, try to avoid washing your hair in very hot water—lukewarm water is best.

If you haven’t already incorporated it, bhringraj powder taken internally—about half a teaspoon with water—once or twice per week could support approach well.

Also don’t forget to have enough sleep about 7-8 hours daily to aid natural repair processes and harmonize all bodily functions. Lastly, I recommend a consultation with a professional Ayurvedic practitioner to observe other personal health aspects for a more tailored approach.
