Ovarian failure and amenorrhea can be complex situations. In Ayurveda, such condition often corresponds to an imbalance in the doshas, particularly Vata and Pitta. Restoring this balance is crucial. Including specific dietary and lifestyle changes, along with herbal remedies can help manage these conditions.

Firstly, diet can significantly influence hormonal balance. Incorporate warming, nourishing foods into your meals. This includes whole grains like quinoa and amaranth, vegetables like carrots and beets, and sweet fruits like mangoes and cherries. Ghee and sesame oil are excellent for pacifying Vata. Spices such as cumin, fennel, and ajwain should be included, but avoid excessively spicy foods, which can aggravate Pitta. Try turmeric milk; it is nourishing and helps in balancing hormones.

Regular routine activities are important. Ensure you have a consistent sleep schedule, going to bed and waking up at the same times each day. This helps regulate your body’s natural rhythms. Moderate exercise like yoga or walking is excellent, but strenuous exercises should be avoided, as they might further unbalance Vata.

Certain herbal supplements can support reproductive health. Shatavari is traditionally used in Ayurveda for supporting the female reproductive system, as it helps to balance hormones. Ashwagandha can be included for general vitality and reducing stress, which might otherwise play a role in amenorrhea.

Abhyanga (self-massage with warm sesame oil) can be beneficial in calming the nervous system and promoting circulation. Try doing this before bathing three times a week.

If consistent ovulation doesn’t return, consulting an Ayurvedic practitioner is strongly recommended to customize your regimen. However, it would be advisable to seek a healthcare provider to understand any underlying medical condition which might need a different approach if symptoms persist or worsen. Keep monitoring your situation carefully.
