In the context of menopause, unexpected bleeding can be concerning and may need medical attention. It can be due to various reasons such as hormonal fluctuations, uterine abnormalities, or other systemic issues. While acknowledging the need for immediate medical consultation should this persist or worsen, there are a few Ayurvedic considerations and home remedies safely employed to help potentially manage this situation.

One approach is to focus on balancing pitt dosha, as excess bleeding is often associated with pitta imbalance. To help balance pitta, try including cooling and soothing foods in your diet, such as cucumbers, melons, and coconut water. A decoction made from coriander seeds can also be beneficial: boil a teaspoon of coriander seeds in a cup of water until it reduces to half, then allow it to cool and drink. It can be consumed twice daily.

Including Triphala might help as it balances all three doshas and has a gentle cooling effect. Mix half a teaspoon of Triphala powder in warm water, taking it before bed. Also, they can promote regular movements which further balances body systems.

Ayurveda also suggests certain herbs which traditionally help in regulating bleeding. Ashoka (Saraca indica) bark powder is known for its benefits on the female reproductive tract. Half a teaspoon of this powder can be consumed with water twice a day. However, please note its best taken under the guidance of an Ayurvedic practitioner.

Moreover, stress can exacerbate bleeding, so embrace relaxation techniques like meditation and pranayama. Both help in calming one’s mind, thus potentially reducing pitta aggravation.

Rest is crucial during this time, avoid heavy work or intense exercise. Ensure you maintain hydration, sipping room temperature water throughout the day.

Finally, while Ayurveda offers supportive treatment, never delay seeking medical advice if unusual symptoms persist. Regular consults with gynaecologist is essential to rule out potential underlying conditions.
