I UNDERSTAND HOW FRUSTRATING IT CAN BE TO SUDDENLY DEVELOP FACIAL BREAKOUTS AND THEN SEE DARK SPOTS AND SMALL RAISED GROWTHS AFTERWARDS

FROM AN AYURVEDIC POINT OF VIEW THIS PATTERN SUGGESTS INTERNAL HEAT BUILDUP MAINLY PITTA AGGRAVATION ALONG WITH DRYNESS WHICH INDICATES VATA INVOLVEMENT EVEN THOUGH THE BREAKOUTS ARE RECENT THE ROOT CAUSE IS USUALLY INTERNAL AND NOT JUST A SURFACE SKIN ISSUE

DRY SKIN WITH BREAKOUTS OFTEN GETS WORSE WHEN STRONG OR DRYING REMEDIES ARE USED EVEN NATURAL ONES EXCESS CLEANSING SCRUBBING OR MIXING TOO MANY HOME INGREDIENTS DAMAGES THE SKIN BARRIER AND LEADS TO DARK SPOTS AND UNEVEN TEXTURE

THE FIRST STEP IS TO COOL AND STABILIZE THE BODY FROM INSIDE AVOID SPICY OILY FRIED FERMENTED AND PACKAGED FOODS REDUCE SUGAR AND BAKERY ITEMS EAT SIMPLE FRESHLY COOKED MEALS INCLUDE RICE MOONG DAL COOKED VEGETABLES POMEGRANATE PAPAYA AND ADEQUATE WATER DO NOT SKIP MEALS AND AVOID LATE NIGHT EATING

DIGESTION AND BOWEL REGULARITY ARE IMPORTANT IF DIGESTION IS WEAK OR BOWELS ARE NOT CLEAR IT WILL REFLECT DIRECTLY ON THE FACE

FOR EXTERNAL CARE KEEP IT VERY GENTLE CLEANSE YOUR FACE TWICE DAILY WITH A MILD CLEANSER OR BESAN MIXED WITH MILK AND WATER DO NOT SCRUB DO NOT PICK OR SQUEEZE THE BREAKOUTS AS THIS IS THE MAIN CAUSE OF DARK SPOTS AND RAISED MARKS

AT NIGHT YOU MAY APPLY A THIN LAYER OF PURE ALOE VERA GEL TO CALM INFLAMMATION IF YOUR SKIN FEELS VERY DRY ADD ONE DROP OF COLD PRESSED COCONUT OIL OR ALMOND OIL TO THE ALOE VERA AFTER A PATCH TEST

ACCORDING TO AYURVEDA LOOD PURIFYING AND PITTA BALANCING HERBS LIKE AMALAKI GUDUCHI NEEM AND MANJISTHA ARE VERY EFFECTIVE FOR CLEARING SKIN BUT THE FORM AND DOSAGE SHOULD BE DECIDED INDIVIDUALLY

STRESS AND SLEEP ALSO PLAY A MAJOR ROLE EVEN SHORT TERM STRESS CAN TRIGGER BREAKOUTS ENSURE ADEQUATE SLEEP AND PRACTICE CALMING BREATHING

ONCE NEW BREAKOUTS STOP THE DARK SPOTS WILL GRADUALLY FADE SKIN HEALING TAKES TIME BUT WITH CONSISTENT INTERNAL BALANCE AND GENTLE CARE YOU WILL SEE CLEAR IMPROVEMENT OVER THE COMING WEEKS

Hlo,

Morning (AM) Gentle face wash (non-foaming) 👉 Use a mild cleanser (no soap) Example: Cetaphil / Simple / any gentle Ayurvedic cleanser ➜ Wash once only in the morning

Moisturizer (VERY important) 👉 Light, non-comedogenic Example: Aloe-based or ceramide moisturizer Sunscreen (must)

👉 SPF 30 or above ➜ Dark spots will NOT fade without sunscreen Night (PM) Wash face with same gentle cleanser

Apply at night (choose ONE): Aloe vera gel (pure) – thin layer OR Niacinamide 5% serum (2–3 drops) ➜ Helps acne + dark spots + dryness Moisturizer again

🌿 Natural Add-ons (2–3 times/week only) Multani mitti + rose water (very thin pack, 10 min only) Do NOT use lemon, baking soda, toothpaste, harsh scrubs

❌ Avoid These (very important) Touching or squeezing pimples Over-washing face Oily creams / fairness creams Home remedies that burn or sting

🍎 Diet Tips for Clear Skin Drink 2.5–3 L water/day Reduce sugar, fried food, milk at night Add fruits, vegetables, soaked almonds (4–5)

⏳ When will you see improvement? Pimples: 2–3 weeks Dark spots: 6–8 weeks (with sunscreen)

Hello

I get it—dealing with breakouts and those stubborn dark spots is tough, especially when your skin already feels dry and sensitive. You can absolutely get things under control. Ayurveda gives you the tools to calm down breakouts, heal your skin, and slowly bring back that fresh, even glow. But you need to stick with it and be patient. Results show up with consistency.

YOUR CONCERN

- You’ve had active breakouts on your face for a few weeks now. - Your skin is dry. - After the breakouts fade, you’re left with dark spots and maybe some tiny bumps. - You’ve tried a few natural fixes, but things aren’t moving fast enough.

Your main questions:

- How do I stop new breakouts? - How do I lighten these dark spots? - How do I get my skin clear and healthy again?

So, why is this happening? Here’s how Ayurveda breaks it down:

- Your Pitta is out of balance. That’s what’s driving the redness, inflammation, and those dark marks. - Vata is also involved, making your skin dry, rough, and slow to heal. - There’s a bit of Rakta dushti—basically, your blood isn’t as pure as it could be, which leaves you with spots after the breakouts. - Your skin just isn’t getting enough nourishment.

That’s why you’re breaking out even though your skin is dry. Your marks are fading slowly, and your skin tone isn’t as even as you’d like. The good news? This can all be turned around with the right internal and external care.

Here’s a treatment plan to get you started:

INTERNAL MEDICATION (Healing from within)

- Manjistha Churna: ½ tsp with warm water after meals, once a day. This helps purify your blood and kick out pigmentation and breakouts.

- Guduchi (Giloy): 500 mg capsule or tablet once a day. This calms inflammation, boosts your immunity, and helps your skin repair itself.

- Avipattikar Churna (if you feel heat or acidity): ½ tsp with warm water at night. This keeps Pitta in check and stops those acne triggers.

Be consistent with these for 4–6 weeks.

EXTERNAL CARE (Super important)

1. Gentle Cleanser: Wash your face with raw milk or a mild herbal cleanser. Stay away from harsh face washes and scrubs—they’ll just make dryness worse.

2. Healing Face Pack (2–3 times a week): Mix 1 tsp sandalwood powder with ½ tsp manjistha powder. Add rose water or raw milk (the milk is great for dry skin). Leave it on for 15 minutes, then rinse with plain water. This soothesinflammation, fades dark spots, and evens out your skin tone.

3. Night Oil: Before bed, massage 2–3 drops of Kumkumadi Taila onto your face. This oil is amazing for healing post-acne marks, repairing skin, fighting dryness, and bringing back your glow.

DIET TIPS FOR CLEARER SKIN

Eat: - Warm, freshly-cooked meals - Lots of green veggies - Fruits like pomegranate, apple, and papaya - Coconut water - Plenty of water

Avoid: - Fried and spicy foods - Too much sugar - Baked stuff (cookies, pastries, etc.) - Chocolates - Late-night snacking

LIFESTYLE HINTS:

- Hands off your face—don’t pick or touch pimples. - Don’t overwash your face. - Try to get to bed before 11 pm. - Manage stress (it really does make breakouts worse). - Skip heavy makeup until your skin settles down.

WHEN WILL YOU SEE CHANGES?

- New breakouts calm down in about 7–10 days. - Skin starts healing and feeling calmer in 2–3 weeks. - Dark spots start fading between 4–8 weeks.

IMPORTANT:

If you notice painful lumps, lots of itching, or your breakouts are spreading fast, check in with a dermatologist. You want to rule out things like milia, warts, or fungal acne—just to be safe.

Clear skin is all about healing from the inside out, not scrubbing your face raw—especially if your skin’s dry. Be gentle, keep at it, and be patient with yourself.

Warm Regards Dr Snehal Vidhate
