🌸 First, understand your condition Heavy menstrual bleeding for months is called Menorrhagia. Common causes at your age (even when reports look “normal”): Hormonal imbalance (very common) Pitta aggravation (Ayurvedic view) Stress, irregular meals Nutritional deficiencies (iron, B12) Sometimes thyroid imbalance 👉 The good thing: At 21, this is usually reversible with the right approach. 🥤 Can you take beetroot juice? ⚠️ Not during heavy bleeding Beetroot increases blood flow It can worsen bleeding if taken during periods ✅ When is beetroot OK? After bleeding stops 2–3 times per week To improve hemoglobin 👉 For now, avoid beetroot juice during periods 🌿 Ayurvedic Management (Safe & Effective) 1️⃣ Ashokarishta (Most important) Dose: 15 ml + equal water Twice daily after meals Helps regulate hormones & reduce heavy flow 2️⃣ Lodhra Churna Dose: ½ tsp twice daily With lukewarm water Strong uterine tonic, reduces bleeding 3️⃣ Praval Pishti (or Kamdudha Ras plain) Dose: 1 tablet twice daily After food Controls excess Pitta & bleeding 4️⃣ If bleeding is actively very heavy You can add: Nagkesar churna – ¼ tsp twice daily with honey 🥗 Diet during heavy periods (VERY IMPORTANT) ❌ Avoid Beetroot Papaya Pineapple Coffee, tea Very spicy & sour food Junk food ✅ Prefer Rice, dal Pomegranate Apple Buttermilk (not sour) Coconut water 🧘 Lifestyle tips Avoid strenuous exercise during periods Adequate sleep Reduce stress (stress directly affects hormones) 🚨 Please do these tests if not already done Very important for heavy bleeding: Hemoglobin TSH (thyroid) Pelvic ultrasound Serum ferritin (iron stores)

Heavy periods since December = do not rely only on home remedies. Beetroot juice Not advised in heavy menstrual bleeding It can increase blood flow in some people

What you can do now Eat iron-rich food (dates, raisins, spinach, pomegranate in small amount) Avoid papaya, pineapple, beetroot, alcohol Take rest, avoid heavy exercise during periods
