WHEN WE SAY PSYCHOSOMATIC DYSPEPSIA IT MEANS THE DIGESTIVE PROBLEM IS HAPPENING DUE TO STRESS ANXIETY AND NERVOUS SYSTEM IMBALANCE THIS TYPE OF CONDITION IS VERY COMMON AND THE SYMPTOMS ARE REAL EVEN THOUGH TESTS ARE NORMAL

LOOSE STOOLS FOR SEVERAL MONTHS ESPECIALLY WHEN TRIGGERED BY STRESS INDICATE A VATA PITTA IMBALANCE WITH IRREGULAR DIGESTIVE FIRE THIS IS VERY WELL EXPLAINED IN AYURVEDA

YOU CAN TAKE GYASIP TABLET FOR DIGESTION AND GAS RELIEF IT IS GENERALLY SAFE AND HELPFUL IN STRESS RELATED INDIGESTION TAKE ONE TABLET AFTER LUNCH AND ONE AFTER DINNER WITH LUKEWARM WATER

HOWEVER PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT GYASIP MAINLY HELPS GAS AND BLOATING IF LOOSE STOOLS ARE DAILY THEN MEDICINES LIKE KUTAJ OR BILVA BASED FORMULATIONS ARE MORE EFFECTIVE

DO NOT STOP THE MEDICINE GIVEN BY YOUR DOCTOR SUDDENLY AYURVEDIC AND ALLOPATHIC MEDICINES CAN BE TAKEN TOGETHER WITH PROPER GUIDANCE

AVOID TEA COFFEE COLD FOOD AND LATE NIGHT MEALS EAT WARM SIMPLE FRESHLY COOKED FOOD AT FIXED TIMES PRACTICE SLOW BREATHING AFTER MEALS TO CALM THE GUT AND MIND

THIS CONDITION IS REVERSIBLE WITH THE RIGHT APPROACH WITH DIET STRESS MANAGEMENT AND CORRECT MEDICINES YOUR DIGESTION CAN BECOME STABLE AGAIN

Endoscopy being normal and the diagnosis of psychosomatic dyspepsia indicates that the digestive symptoms are related to stress anxiety and disturbed gut brain coordination rather than any structural disease When mental stress persists digestive fire becomes irregular which often results in loose stools even when appetite appears normal This pattern is commonly seen in stress related digestion disorders Itcalms n works by calming the nervous system and reducing anxiety but in some it can further relax intestinal movement which may lead to frequent loose stools This does not mean the medicine is unsuitable but it does indicate that digestion needs parallel support Gyasip tablet can be taken for digestive support Take Gyasip one tablet twice daily after meals with warm water It helps reduce gas bloating intestinal discomfort and supports digestion It is generally safe to take along with allopathic medicines but a gap of at least two hours should be maintained between the two If loose stools continue then Bilva churna half teaspoon with warm water once daily after food can be added to help firm stools and stabilise bowel movements Avoid cold foods raw salads excess tea coffee and spicy meals Prefer warm freshly cooked food and regular meal timings Since stress is a major trigger daily routines such as slow breathing walking especially after meals and regular sleep timing play an important role With consistent digestive support and stress regulation bowel movements usually settle gradually over a few weeks

Since your endoscopy is normal and symptoms worsen with stress, this fits psychosomatic (functional) dyspepsia / IBS-type symptoms. The medicine Itcalms Plus 5/0.5 is commonly given to calm the gut–brain axis and can help both digestion and anxiety. Regarding Ayurvedic tablet “Gyasip”: It may help gas and digestion, but it won’t treat stress-related loose stools. Do not take it together with Itcalms PlusAyurvedic medicines can sometimes worsen loose stools in sensitive people.

What to do now: Continue the doctor-prescribed medicine as advised Manage stress (sleep, breathing exercises, regular meals) Avoid spicy, oily food, excess tea/coffee Stay well hydrated

HELLO,

Your reports (endoscopy normal) show that there is no structural disease like ulcer, cancer, or infection. This is reassuring

Your problem is functional, meaning -The digestive system looks normal -But does not function normally, especially under stress and anxiety

FROM A MODERN VIEW This is called psychosomatic/ functional dyspepsia with IBS- like loose stoos The brain and gut are strongly connected. stress directly affects digestion, bowel movement, and acidity

In Ayurveda, digestion is controlled by Agni (digestive fire)

WHAT IS HAPPENING IN YOUR BODY?

1) STRESS WEAKENS AND DISTURBS AGNI -sometimes digestion is fast -sometimes slow -This is called vishama agni

2) DUE TO DISTURBED AGNI: -Food is not digested properly -partially digested food irritates the intestine This leads to - loose stools, gas, discomfort despite good appetite

3) This condition is called GRAHANI ROGA

WHY STOOLS ARE LOOSE? Because the intestine releases stool before full water absorption, due to -vata imbalance (movement problem) -pitta irritation (sensitivity) -mental stress (manasika heat)

TREATMENT GOALS -stabilize digetion -control loose stools -calmthe gut brain axis -prevent recurrence -avoid over medication This is why stron purgatives or excessive digestive stimulates are avoided

INTERNAL MEDICATIONS

A) FOR LOOSE STOOLS AND GUT STRENGTH

1) KUTAJ GHAN VATI= 1 tab twice daily after meals for 6 weeks =strengthens intestinal lining, reduces frequency of loose stools, does NOT cause constipation

B) FOR DIGESTIVE FIRE REGULATION

1) BILVA AVALEHA= 1 tsp twice daily after meals for 8 weeks =classical for grahani, improves digestion without irritation, reduces gas and abdominal discomfort

3) FOR GAS/ HEAVINESS

3) GYASIP= 1 tab once daily after lunch only for 5-7 days only =improves digestion, but long use may increase bowel movement

D) FOR STRESS RELATED DIGESTIVE DISTURBANCE

4) BRAHMI VATI= 1 tab at bedtime for 6 weeks =calms nervous system, improve sleep , reduces stress induced gut symptoms

EXTERNAL THERAPIES

1) OIL MASSAGE= SESAME OIL 3-4 times/week =controls vata, improves gut motility, reduces anxiety

DIET -rice, soft roti -moong dal -khichdi -bottle gourd, pumpkin, ridge gourd -home made buttermilk daytime -warm water

AVOID -tea,coffee -spicy, fried food -cold drinks -raw salads -bakery items -Packaged food

Eat simple, warm, freshly cooked meals

HOME REMEDIES

1) BUTTERMILK THERAPY -fresh buttermilk -add roasted jeera powder + pinch of rock salt -once daily midday

2) JEERA WATER -boil 1 tsp cumin seeds -sip warm

3) POMEGRANATE -natural grass (binds stool) -very useful in loose motions

YOGA AND PRANAYAM -Anulom vilom= 10 min -bhramari= 5-7 rounds -vajrasana after meals -pawanmuktasana =directly improves gut function, reduces stress hormones, balances vata

LIFESTYLE CHANGES -fixed meal timings -avoid late night eating -adequate sleep before 11 pm -avoid overthinking health issues -daily walking

EXPECTED RECOVERY TIMELINE 2 WEEKS= stool frequency improves 4 WEEKS= digestion stabiles 6-8 WEEKS= long term control This condition is reversible not dangerous and very manageable

You do not have a serious disease Your gut is sensitive, not damaged

Ayurveda treats this condition very effective when medicines + diet + mind care are combined

Avoid fear, frequent medicine changes, and excessive internet reading

DO FOLLOW

HOPE THIS MIGHT BE HELPFUL

THANK YOU

DR. MAITRI ACHARYA

Hello I totally get what you’re going through. When your endoscopy comes back normal but stress makes things worse, it usually points to something like psychosomatic dyspepsia or IBS – not a serious structural issue. The good news is, it’s pretty common and can be handled.

Okay, so looking at your situation: * Endoscopy: Normal * Loose stools: Been happening for 1–6 months * What kicks it off: Stress/anxiety * Appetite: Usually good, but it jumps around

This suggests * Grahani (IBS-D type) * Your gut’s balance is off * Mind-gut thing going on * Digestion’s in overdrive, but you’re not absorbing stuff well

Basically, it’s not an infection or ulcer.

About the Itcalms Plus * It’s for gut issues linked to anxiety * Psychosomatic stuff * IBS that stress makes worse * It works on your brain-gut link, not right on your stomach

Now, to your big question:

Can you take Gyasip? * Yes, it’s safe and should be fine.

What Gyasip actually does: * It helps with gas * Bloating * Mild diarrhea * Gut spasms * Balances things out in your intestines

It’s more so for dealing with symptoms, not the underlying stress.

So, Gyasip’s good for: * Making your stomach happier * Gas and that heavy feeling * Mild loose movements

But by itself, it won’t fix stress-related stomach issues.

How to take Gyasip: * Dose: 1 tablet, twice a day after food * Keep it up for 2–3 weeks

For what you’re dealing with

1. Gyasip 1 tablet after breakfast and dinner 2. Bilva Churna ½ tsp after meals with warm water (Great for IBS-D) 3. Brahmi capsule 1 at night (To chill out the brain-gut thing)

What to stay away from: * Avoid: * Trikatu * Triphala * Aloe vera * Haritaki daily * (These can make diarrhea worse)

DIET PLAN

INCLUDE

Rice Moong dal Banana Pomegranate Curd (yogurt) in the daytime only Buttermilk with roasted jeera

Avoid: Raw salads Cold drinks Coffee Fried food Late night meals Skipping meals

The real deal (being straight with you):

* Your loose stools aren’t because of: * Weak digestion * Infection * Acid

* They’re happening because: Your nervous system’s overstimulated, which messes with your colon

* This is called: IBS-D / Grahani with anxiety as the main thing

Will Gyasip fix it for good?

Not with just medicine, unless you: * calm your stress * Sort out your sleep * Cut back on screen time * Do some breathing exercises

Otherwise, symptoms will jump around.

Best long-term fix: * Daily: * 10 mins of Anulom Vilom * Eat at the same times every day * No phone while eating * Walk after dinner

This, with Gyasip, is way better than just pills.

Last thoughts: Yes, Gyasip’s a safe bet.

But for you: * Gyasip = helps with the symptoms * Brahmi + lifestyle = fixes the root problem

Take care of the mind-gut situation, not just the digestion.

Warm Regards Dr. Snehal Vidhate
