The Role of Moringa (Shigru) Moringa is an excellent nutritional powerhouse, but its effect on your specific situation is nuanced: For Hair and Nutrition: Moringa is rich in iron, Vitamin A, and zinc, which are vital for hair follicle health. For Periods: In Ayurveda, Shigru is considered Ushna (hot) and Tikshna (piercing) in nature. It can help stimulate blood flow (Artavajanana) and improve Agni (metabolism), which might help with a light flow. For Cysts: Its anti-inflammatory properties can help reduce the recurrence of sebaceous cysts by balancing Kapha and Meda (fatty tissueImprove Menstrual Flow (Artava Kshaya) 2. To Address Thinning Hair & Cysts Kumaryasava: A primary choice for regulating periods and improving flow. Rajapravartini Vati: Specifically indicated when the flow is scanty or obstructed. Phala Ghrita: Often used to nourish the reproductive system if the light flow is due to “Dhatu Kshaya” (depletion of tissues). Kanchanar Guggulu: This is the gold standard for clearing “Granthi” (cysts) and balancing the glandular system. Nasya: Using Anu Taila or Brahmi Taila can help stimulate the pituitary gland and improve hair quality from a systemic level.3. Dietary Adjustments Increase the intake of Sesame seeds (Tila) and Jaggery (Guda) during the week leading up to your period. These are Agneya (fiery) and help in proper shedding of the endometrium.
