Just wanted to ask that i am taking telmisartan for HTN and this month i started taking triphala guggul and medoharvati to lose weight. but i am getting very heavy bleeding and clotted period, which lasted more than a week. What should i do?

Heavy and long bleeding may be due to Triphala Guggul and Medohar Vati. These medicines can increase heat (Pitta) and sometimes increase menstrual bleeding. Stop Triphala Guggul and Medohar Vati for now Continue BP medicine (Telmisartan) as prescribed If bleeding is still heavy, consult a gynecologist Reduce Bleeding Praval Pishti – 250 mg twice daily with honey or water Ashokarishta – 2 teaspoons with equal water, twice daily after food Drink cold milk or coriander seed water (helps reduce bleeding) Diet Eat Pomegranate Banana Coconut water Light homemade food Avoid Spicy food Sour food Very hot or fried food
