Doctors' responses

What Your Report Means 1️⃣ Uterus Size is normal. Retroverted/retroflexed uterus → this is common and usually not dangerous. Heterogeneous myometrium → can be seen in endometriosis or adenomyosis. Small hypoechoic deposits on posterior surface → likely endometriotic implants. 2️⃣ Ovaries Right Ovary: Bulky Has an endometriotic cyst (24 mm) An endometriotic cyst (also called chocolate cyst) forms when endometriosis affects the ovary. Size: ~2.4 cm This is small-to-moderate. 3️⃣ Ovaries Adherent to Uterus This suggests: Pelvic adhesions Possible deep endometriosis 4️⃣ Right Adnexal Lesion (2.7 cm) Could be: Subserosal fibroid OR Another endometriotic lesion Further imaging (MRI pelvis) may clarify. 📌 Impression: Deep Pelvic Endometriosis This means endometriosis is not just superficial — it may involve deeper tissues. ❓ Is This Dangerous? Endometriosis is: Not cancer But chronic Can cause pain Can cause irregular periods Can affect fertility It does NOT cause death. 🎯 Since You Have Irregular Periods That fits with endometriosis. Common symptoms: Painful periods Pelvic pain Pain during intercourse Irregular bleeding Infertility in some cases 🩺 What Should You Do Next? 1️⃣ See a Gynecologist who specializes in endometriosis 2️⃣ Consider MRI Pelvis Better for evaluating deep disease. 💊 Treatment Options Treatment depends on: Pain severity Age Whether you want pregnancy If pain + irregular cycles: Medical treatment: OCP pills Progestins Dienogest GnRH analogues (in severe cases) Surgery: Only if: Severe pain Large cyst (>4–5 cm) Infertility issue Failed medical treatment Your cyst is 2.4 cm → usually treated medically first. 🌿 Lifestyle Support Anti-inflammatory diet Regular exercise Avoid excessive estrogen exposure Maintain healthy weight
