You have swelling in your ankles along with dark spots on the skin. This is most likely due to poor blood circulation in the legs, where fluid and blood collect around the ankles over time. This can cause skin discoloration that looks like bruises or black dots. –In the meantime, keeping your legs elevated and avoiding long periods of standing can help reduce the swelling. —Dx: Shotha + Rakta dushti —Rx: 1) Aimil Neo-Varuna Cap – 1 bd after meals 2) Aimil Lukol Tab – 2 BD after meals 3) Aimil Amlycure DS – 2 tsp BD before meals 4) trifla tab 1 at night with Luke warm water —Local: Mahanarayan oil massage OD —Advice: Leg elevation, low salt, avoid long standing —F/U: 2–3 weeks — tests will be done if worsening swelling/pain

Hello I can understand your concern regarding -having black dot patches on your ankles -with recurring swelling That too for almost a year now And this is not the thing to be ignored ▪️Probable causes in your case -Poor and insufficient blood supply to your legs -Varicose vein changes -or it can be nutritional deficiency The black dot which you have on your ankles may be due to capillary leakage due to poor circulation ▪️Important investigation to be needed -As your edema is chronic better to get tests done -RFT ( Renal function test) -LFT ( liver function test) -Serum albumin -Venous and arterial doppler study of both lower limbs With this we can come to a provisonal diagnosis ▪️Ayurvedic plan of treatment ▪️Internal Medication ➖Punarnava mandoor 1 tablet twice daily after food ➖Mahamanjistahdi kwatha 15 ml twice daily after food with equal water ➖Veinflux NC 1 tablet twice daily after food ▪️External Care Apply kottamchukkadi taila and do upward direction gentle massage Do not do vigrous massage -keep your legs elevated with pillows at night -Avoid very tight clothing ▪️Diet plan Include -Barley water -Horse gram -Warm water ❌Avoid -Excessive salt intake -Packaged processed food -Heavy oily food items ▪️Lifestyle tips -Avoid long standing and sitting -If long standing any work is there use legs stockings -Do gentle walking daily The conditon is manageable but needs consistent treatment and care Wishing you a good health😊 Warm Regards Dr Snehal Vidhate

Hello I understand swelling with black spots on the foot and ankle can be worrying, especially when they are increasing in size. This usually indicates fluid accumulation (edema) with poor circulation or pigmentation changes, and sometimes can be related to venous stasis or pressure-related skin changes. High salt intake can worsen this condition. Right now, focus on reducing swelling and improving circulation. Keep your legs elevated whenever possible and avoid long hours of standing or sitting. You can start Punarnava Mandoor 1 tablet twice daily after food to help reduce fluid retention. Apply gentle massage with warm sesame oil on the legs (very light, no deep pressure) to improve circulation. Reduce salt and processed foods in your diet and increase clean water intake. Since the spots are increasing in size, it is important to get a basic check-up (BP, kidney function, and possibly a vascular evaluation) to rule out underlying causes. Do not ignore if swelling increases, skin becomes tight, or color changes rapidly. With proper care and monitoring, this can be managed well. Warm Regards Dr Raghuveer SN

This looks like changes from long term swelling where fluid collects around the ankles and affects small blood vessels leading to dark spots commonly seen in chronic venous insufficiency Get cbc thyroid profile and Doppler study Avoid long standing reduce salt intake

The black dots and bruise-like patches on your ankles are classic signs of Venous Stasis Dermatitis. Because you have had severe, recurring edema (swelling) for over a year, the extreme fluid pressure in your lower legs has caused the tiny, fragile blood vessels (capillaries) to burst. They leak red blood cells into the skin. When the iron from these cells breaks down, it leaves permanent, rust-colored or black/brown dots. In Ayurveda, this is a clear case of Rakta Dushti (blood impurity) and trapped Kleda (excess fluid) driven by an underlying Apana Vata dysfunction. Your chronic digestive issues are the root cause, creating Ama (toxins) that continuously block these micro-channels. Ayurvedic Prescription 1. Punarnavadi Kashayam Dosage: 15 ml mixed with 15 ml of warm water. Time: Twice daily, 30 minutes before meals. 2. Mahamanjisthadi Kwath Dosage: 15 ml mixed with 15 ml of warm water. Time: Twice daily, 15 minutes after meals. 3. Kaishore Guggulu Dosage: 2 tablets twice daily. Time: Take it together with the Mahamanjisthadi Kwath. ✓Crucial External Care & Rules Leg Elevation: You must elevate your legs above your heart level on 2-3 pillows while sleeping. Gravity is currently your biggest enemy. Compression: Wear medical-grade compression stockings during the day. Put them on in the morning before you get out of bed, while the swelling is at its lowest. Do NOT Massage: Never vigorously massage the dotted or swollen areas, as this will instantly break more fragile capillaries and worsen the black spots. Hello, Your symptoms - chronic moderate edema around ankles with dark, bruise like black dots- suggest a condition often linked in Ayurveda to Rakta dushti (impure blood) and shotha (inflammatory swelling), commonly involving vata + kapha imbalance with poor circulation and fluid retention This can also resemble condition like stasis dermatitis or early vascular changes Ayurvedic view -Edema= kapha + vata imbalance -> fluid accumulation -Black dots / discoloration= rakta dushti + poor microcirculation -Chronic digestion issues= weak digestive fire-> toxins buildup-> worsens swelling and skin Internal medications 1) Punarnavadi kashaya= 15ml + warm water twice daily before meals =best for edema, fluid retention, kidney support 2) Guggulutiktakam kashaya= 15ml + warm water twice daily after meals =skin discolouration + blood purification 3) Kaishor Guggulu = 2 tabs twice daily after meals =clears toxins improves circulation, reduces pigmentation External treatment 1) Dhanwantaram taila= gentle upward massage (feet-> calf) daily =improves lymphatic drainage and circulation follow with -warm water foot soak 10-15 mins or -mild steam Diet= keep it simple and strict -warm, light meals -khichdi, soups -barley water excellent for swelling -ginger + garlic improves circulation Avoid -salt excess, packaged food -curd at night -deep fried, cold, fermented foods Lifestyle corrections -elevate legs while resting very important -avoid long sitting/standing -daily walking 20-30 min -gentle ankle rotations improve blood flow Consult immediately if you notice -increasing swelling -pain, redness or warmth -skin becoming hard/thick -shortness of breath These may indicate venous sufficiency, clot risk or systemic issues Your digestive issues + edema + skin changes are interconnected Unless gut is corrected, symptoms will keep recurring Do follow Hope this might be helpful Thank you
