Doctors' responses

–You have a slow-flow vascular malformation in your leg, which started in childhood. This can cause constant pain and swelling. Surgery helps sometimes, but the condition often persists. Ayurvedic treatments can help reduce pain, swelling, and improve circulation, but they cannot completely cure the malformation. A combination of herbal medicines, medicated oils, and gentle lifestyle changes may provide relief. It is important to continue follow-up with your vascular specialist while using these therapies. —Internal Medicines: 1)Take Arjuna powder 3 g twice daily with warm water 2)Take Punarnava mandoor 2 tab twice daily after meals 3)Take Triphala powder 5 g at night with Luke warm water 4)Take yograj gugulu twice daily after meals ----External Therapy: Massage the affected leg with medicated oil (Ksheerabala taila) for 15–20 minutes daily followed by Patrapinda sweda for 10–15 minutes daily to reduce pain and swelling —Diet & Lifestyle Advice: Eat light, easily digestible food with green vegetables, turmeric, and ginger Avoid heavy, oily, very hot, or very cold foods Gentle walking daily; avoid prolonged standing —Follow-up: Every 4 weeks to monitor pain, swelling, and circulation
