✓Safe Ayurvedic Prescription (Local & Gentle Care) 1. Infection-Drawing Mouthwash (Kavala) Preparation: Boil 1 teaspoon of Triphala powder and 1/2 teaspoon of Turmeric in 2 glasses of water. Once the water reduces to half, strain it and add 2 pinches of Roasted Alum (Sphatika Bhasma). Usage: Have the patient hold this comfortably warm water in their mouth for 2 to 3 minutes, then spit it out (do not swallow). Repeat this 4 to 5 times a day. This rapidly draws out the pus and reduces the inflammation in the gums. 2. Local Application for Gum Pain Irimedadi Taila: This is the gold standard Ayurvedic oil for dental infections. Put a few drops of this oil on a small piece of cotton and place it directly over the painful, swollen gum 2 to 3 times a day. (If this is unavailable, pure Clove Oil can be used as a substitute). 3. External Paste for Facial Swelling Dashanga Lepa: Mix this classical Ayurvedic powder with a little water or rose water to make a thick paste. Apply it externally over the swollen cheek. It instantly cools the area, soothes the pain, and reduces localized facial swelling. 4. 100% Safe Internal Medicine Guduchi (Giloy) Satva: Mix 2 pinches (approx. 250mg) of Guduchi Satva with a little honey and have the patient slowly lick it morning and evening. This is extremely light on the stomach, gently clears blood infections, and acts as a natural, safe antipyretic for mild fever or pain. ✓Crucial Dietary Rule Since the patient cannot chew, you must provide only liquid, cooling, and easily digestible foods. Stick to Moong Dal water, very thin Khichdi, or Rice water (Mand). Strictly avoid serving anything very hot, sour, or spicy, as these will instantly aggravate the burning sensation and swelling in the mouth. Regards Dr Gursimran Jeet Singh MD Panchakarma
