understand how uncomfortable and frustrating this must be for you—especially when tooth sensitivity and new cavities keep appearing despite good brushing habits. The good news is that this condition is manageable, but it needs a combination of oral care correction, strengthening of teeth, and internal nutritional support. 1. Reassurance & Advice Your symptoms suggest early enamel weakening with gum sensitivity. Start today with warm sesame oil oil-pulling (5–10 minutes daily) and avoid very cold, very hot, and sugary foods for now. This alone often reduces sensitivity within 1–2 weeks when done consistently. 2. Likely Clinical Causes (Most Important) In your case, the following factors are most likely contributing: Enamel demineralization (most likely): Frequent cavities monthly strongly suggest loss of protective enamel due to diet, oral acidity, or bacterial activity. Vitamin-mineral deficiency: Low calcium, vitamin D, or magnesium can weaken teeth structure. Gum recession / improper brushing pressure: Even if brushing twice daily, wrong technique can expose sensitive dentin. Dry mouth or dietary acidity: Frequent snacking, sweets, tea/coffee, or low saliva flow increases cavity formation. From an Ayurvedic view, this resembles Vata-Pitta imbalance affecting “Danta Dhatu” (tooth tissue) leading to weakness, sensitivity, and decay. 3. Ayurvedic Treatment Plan Internal Support Praval Pishti 250 mg with honey or milk, twice daily for 6–8 weeks → strengthens teeth and reduces sensitivity. Mukta Shukti Bhasma 125–250 mg once daily → improves calcium balance and enamel strength. Triphala churna 1 tsp at night with warm water → reduces oral bacterial load and supports gum health. External Care Oil pulling (Gandusha): Sesame or coconut oil, daily morning. Clove oil (1 drop diluted): Apply on painful/sensitive area only when needed. Triphala + rock salt lukewarm rinse at night for plaque control. 4. Diet & Lifestyle Increase: milk, ghee, almonds, sesame seeds, fresh fruits. Avoid: excessive sugar, soft drinks, acidic foods, frequent snacking. Brush gently with soft brush; do not apply heavy pressure. Maintain regular sleep—poor sleep increases oral inflammation. * Important Precautions Frequent monthly cavities is not normal and needs a dental check-up for enamel assessment and possible fluoride treatment or fillings. If pain increases, swelling, or bad taste appears, consult a dentist immediately. * With consistent care, sensitivity usually improves in 2–3 weeks and cavity formation reduces over 1–2 months. However, long-term improvement depends on correcting diet and enamel protection. If symptoms persist despite following this plan, a detailed dental examination and blood tests (Vitamin D, calcium) will be important.

••Frequent cavities (Krimi Danta) and acute tooth sensitivity (Danta Harsha) point to an underlying imbalance in your Doshas—specifically an aggravation of Vata and Pitta, paired with a depletion of Asthi Dhatu (bone and tooth tissue density). ••To address both the root cause and the immediate discomfort, a structured daily protocol focusing on Dinacharya (daily oral hygiene rituals) and targeted classical formulations is highly effective. Daily Oral Hygiene Protocol 1. Gandusha & Kavala (Therapeutic Oil Pulling) This is the single most vital practice for rebuilding enamel strength and soothing irritated nerve endings (Danta Harsha). ••What to use: Warm Irimedadi Taila (a classical bark-based oil specific for dental health) or pure, cold-pressed Til Taila (Sesame oil). How to do it: ••Gandusha: Fill your mouth entirely with warm oil without moving it for 3–5 minutes until your eyes or nose water slightly, then spit. ••Kavala: Swish 1 tablespoon of the warm oil vigorously between your teeth for 10–15 minutes first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. Never swallow this oil. ••2. Pratisarana (Herbal Tooth Powder Rub) Standard foaming toothpastes often contain harsh surfactants that strip the oral microbiome and aggravate Vata. Switching to an astringent (Kashaya), bitter (Tikta), and pungent (Katu) Dant Manjan helps arrest bacterial proliferation and tightens the gums. Formulation: Dashan Sanskar Churna. ••Application: Apply a small amount using a very soft brush or clean fingers, massaging gently over the teeth and gums. Let it sit for 2–3 minutes before rinsing thoroughly with lukewarm water. ••Lavanga Taila (Clove Oil)Applied locally on a sterile cotton swab directly onto deep cavities or aching spots.Acts as a fast-acting analgesic and potent Krimighna (antimicrobial) agent. •Babool & Neem KwathUse a decoction of Babool (Acacia arabica) or Neem bark as a warm herbal mouthwash twice daily.Strong Kashaya (astringent) properties that arrest enamel demineralization and heal gums. ••Gandhak RasayanInternal administration (Consult an Ayurvedic physician for exact dosage, typically 250mg twice daily after meals).Powerful systemic purifier and antimicrobial that addresses chronic, deep-seated Krimi. ••Lakshadi GugguluInternal administration (Typically 1-2 tablets twice daily with warm milk or water).Rich in natural calcium; strengthens the Asthi Dhatu to structurally fortify teeth from within. ••Key Dietary Adjustments Stop the Fuel Source: Reduce highly acidic, sour (Amla), and excessively sweet (Madhura) foods. These ferment rapidly in the oral cavity, creating the acidic environment where Krimi thrive. ••Incorporate Asthi-Nutrients: Chew on a teaspoon of white sesame seeds (Til) daily in the morning after brushing. This provides a bioavailable surge of calcium to support the dental matrix. ••Temperature Control: Avoid alternating between freezing cold and steaming hot fluids, which creates microscopic fractures in weakened enamel.
