Can I use neem leaf powder to treat oral lichen planus and how to make a mouth rinse with dried neem? - #55973
I have oral lichen planus. Can you use neem leaf powder for it? How would you make the rinse for your mouth? ( I don't have fresh neem - just organic dried neem leaf powder ). What else would you recommend. I'm very stressed. I have a stroke, and I can't deal with this oral Lichen Planus - I can't eat. I've lost weight- and I don't want to lose anymore.

oral lichen planus is often associated with aggravated Pitta + Rakta dushti with stress-related aggravation. Neem can help because it is tikta (bitter), cooling, anti-inflammatory, and rakta-shodhak. However, since your symptoms are severe with pain while eating, neem should be used gently — not too concentrated, as strong neem may irritate sensitive oral tissue. —You can safely try this mild rinse: -Take ½ teaspoon organic neem leaf powder -Add to 1 cup warm water -Boil for 2–3 minutes, then cool until lukewarm -Strain very well through fine cloth/filter -Rinse gently for 30–60 seconds -Spit out (do not swallow regularly) -Use 1–2 times daily only -If burning increases, stop or dilute further.
