I am trying to figure out which drink is good for health, because honestly, I’ve been feeling so sluggish lately. Just last week, I felt exhausted by noon even after having coffee in the morn. I thought maybe I needed to switch things up? So I’ve been scanning articles and forums but they’re all over the place. I used to think green tea was the answer, but now I read somewhere that ginger tea is amazing too, ugh, it’s so confusing. At some point, I even tried making smoothies with spinach – but they didn’t taste good at all! On top of that, I’ve been craving soda when I’m stressed, which doesn't help. So now I'm really stuck on which drink is good for health? Are there specific ingredients I should look for? Or drinks that actually provide energy without all that sugar? I want something that gives me a boost but doesn’t ruin my health! I really appreciate any advice that can help me choose the right drinks moving forward — thanks!

Coffee, especially, might disturb Vata, leading to a feeling of energy spikes followed by crashes.

Ginger tea is indeed a great choice! It’s warming and helps boost your digestive fire, or ‘agni’. To prepare, just thinly slice some fresh ginger and boil it in water for about 10 minutes. Squeeze some lemon and a touch of honey once it’s cooled a bit. Drink this first thing in the morning to rev up, then perhaps one more cup later in the day when you’re feeling sluggish.

You might also benefit from Tulsi tea, aka holy basil, which helps manage stress and improves energy levels. Just steep a couple of leaves in hot water for about 5 minutes for a soothing drink you can enjoy daily.
