I am trying to figure out if we can eat curd daily, ’cause I’ve always heard it's great for digestion and overall health! My mom swears by it and has it with almost every meal. But I’m kinda confused. I’ve been having it like, every day for weeks now, and while I feel okay, sometimes I wonder if it's too much. I read somewhere that having too much dairy can lead to issues, but then there are all these articles backing the benefits of curd. I also noticed that when I eat it, my stomach feels a bit bloated sometimes, like am I just overdoing it? Plus, I have a friend who says curd is cooling for the body, which I thought was weird ’cause I don’t want to be cold on the inside, especially before my workout. Can we eat curd daily? Are there any specific signs I should watch out for? Should I mix it with something, or should I take breaks from it? Thanks, everyone!

Given that you’re experiencing bloating, it’s important to consider if curd might be increasing kapha or if there’s a lack of digestive fire (agni) to properly digest it. Overconsumption, especially coupled with kapha imbalance, can indeed lead to a heavy feeling or digestive discomfort.

Here’s a suggestion: Try having curd in moderation, maybe four to five times a week rather than every day. Opt to consume it during midday when digestive power is strongest, so it’s better assimilated. Avoid eating curd at night as it can increase mucus production and might not be digested as readily

While curd has many benefits, it may not be ideal for everyone daily, especially for those with certain digestive or dosha imbalances.
