I am really confused about how to store apple cider vinegar. I bought a huge bottle a couple of weeks ago because I heard it does wonders for digestion and even helps with weight loss — felt like I had to try it! But now I'm worried 'cause I've seen different advice on the internet. Like, do I need to keep it in the fridge or is it okay on the shelf? My cousin said something about the "mother," and I'm not even sure what that really means! I opened the bottle and I noticed it has like, some floating bits in it— is that normal or should I be freaking out? I also read somewhere that it can go bad, but I've heard others say it lasts forever. I’ve just been keeping it in a dark cabinet, just trying to be safe, but I dunno if that's what I’m suppose to do. If it needs refrigeration, I'm gonna feel like a total dope! Can someone please share how to store apple cider vinegar properly? Like, how long is it good for once I open it? I don't wanna waste it because I really want this to work for my health!
