I am feeling kinda confused about my diet lately, especially when it comes to sweeteners. I've been trying to cut down on white sugar for health reasons, right? A friend mentioned that jaggery is better than sugar and I was like, “really?!” I always thought sugar was just sugar. It's funny 'cause I used to load my tea with sugar, but then I noticed my energy levels crashing after, so I started switching to honey, then jaggery. Now, both jaggery and sugar have their own roles in my kitchen. But I can't help but wonder, jaggery vs sugar which is better in terms of health benefits? Since I started using jaggery, I've noticed my digestion seems to be better, but is that all in my head? Like, I also read somewhere that jaggery has minerals and maybe fiber, while sugar is just... empty calories. But what about the calories in jaggery? Do they make a big diference? I’m curious if anyone here has experienced any changes, or maybe even health improvements from switching to jaggery vs sugar. I’ve heard that it can help cleanse the body?
