I am really worried about my weight lately. I've always had a sweet tooth but now with the festive season here, I can't help but crave for gulab jamun! I mean, who doesn't love that soft, syrupy goodness? But then I got to thinking about, you know, how much calories in 1 gulab jamun really are? I read somewhere that it could be anywhere between 150 to 200 calories, which seems kinda high for just one tiny piece, right? Last weekend, I went to this family gathering and ended up eating more than just one, like three or four (oops!). Plus, I suffered from that weird sugar rush, you know the one where you feel great for a moment but then crash like a ton of bricks? Ugh, not fun. I’m trying to keep an eye on what I'm eating, especially with all the parties coming up, but gulab jamun is just calling my name.
