It seems like your symptoms of shortness of breath and sans fulta (breathlessness) might be linked to your digestive system, as your doctor mentioned. In Ayurveda, this could relate to aggravated Vata dosha, particularly within the abdomen. This can affect both Agni (digestive fire) and Prana Vayu, which governs the respiratory system. When digestion is affected, it can create imbalances in the body, impacting your breathing. Let’s focus on some practical actions and lifestyle changes that align with Ayurvedic principles:

1. Dietary Adjustments: Incorporate warming and easy-to-digest foods that pacify Vata. Warm cooked meals, such as rice, soups, and stews, are beneficial. Favor spices like ginger, cumin, and cinnamon to enhance agni. Avoid cold, raw, and dry foods that can disturb Vata. It might be useful to eat smaller, more frequent meals to avoid overburdening your digestive system.

2. Lifestyle Practices: Engaging in daily practices like yoga and pranayama can help regulate your breath and calm your mind. Anulom Vilom and Bhramari are specific breathing exercises that can be effective. Ensure you have a warm, stress-free space for practices. Try to maintain a regular schedule for eating, sleeping, and activities, as irregular routines can disturb Vata.

3. Herbs and Supplements: Sometimes, herbs like Triphala can help regulate bowel movements, while Ashwagandha may provide stress relief. Please consult with a local herbalist or Ayurvedic practitioner for personalized advice.

4. Mind-Body Connection: Stress plays a significant role in digestion and breathing. Practices like meditation, listening to calming music, or even spending time in nature can be therapeutic.

If symptoms remain severe or significantly disrupt your daily life, immediate medical attention is crucial, as there may be underlying conditions requiring comprehensive evaluation, such as respiratory or cardiovascular issues. This guidance aims to complement your current treatment, not replace it, ensuring a holistic approach.
