Doctors’ responses
It seems like you're experiencing a combination of vision issues and hair thinning, which could both be linked to underlying imbalances in your body according to Ayurveda. Vision problems, like blurring or shakiness, may be related to a disturbance in the Pitta dosha, which governs vision and the clarity of perception. To address this, herbs like Triphala, Amla, and Ashwagandha can be helpful for strengthening the eyes and supporting overall eye health. For your hair, hair thinning and visible scalp could be related to imbalances in both Pitta and Vata doshas, along with possible genetic factors. To support hair growth, nourishing the scalp with Ayurvedic oils such as Bhringraj oil, Amla oil, or Brahmi oil can help rejuvenate hair follicles. Internally, strengthening treatments with herbs like Ashwagandha, Shatavari, and Guduchi may improve hair health and reduce hair loss. You should also focus on a balanced diet with plenty of healthy fats (like ghee and sesame oil) and proteins, as well as stress reduction techniques like meditation, as stress can exacerbate both hair loss and vision problems.

Blurring vision can be quite concerning, right? If objects get blurry or shaky, it can be tied to various things. In Ayurveda, sometimes it can be linked to an imbalance in the Vata dosha, which messes with the nervous system governing eye functions. Before diving into Ayurveda, make sure you get checked by an eye specialist to rule out anything urgent like retinal detachment or glaucoma.
Once you're clear from that, let's talk Ayurvedic approaches. Start by including more Vata-pacifying foods—think warm, cooked meals like soups and stews—these are easier to digest. Stay away from cold, raw and dry foods, as they can increase Vata. Triphala is an ancient remedy revered in Ayurveda; taking Triphala churna at night might help nourish the eyes. But talk to a practitioner before starting any new supplement.
Now, hair troubles! Seeing hair thin and scalp peep through is frustrating. During youth, your Pitta dosha might have been balanced, but stress, lifestyle, or diet changes can throw it off now. First thing, manage your stress and introduce some cooling activities. Meditation, gentle yoga, or even just a walk outside can help cool down Pitta.
Diet-wise, go for foods that lower Pitta: include lots of green leafy veggies, sweet fruits, and bitter foods. Think of ghee and coconut oil, which are great for nourishing hair. Massaging your scalp weekly with warm oils like bhringraj or amla can enhance blood circulation and promote growth. Leave it on for an hour or so before washing it off with a mild shampoo.
Remember, Ayurvedic remedies take time. It's not a one-time fix, but a lifestyle adjustment that'll show results with patience. Regular sleep, staying hydrated, and avoiding excessive heat exposure are other small habits that can make big differences in the long run. If things don't improve, consider consulting an Ayurvedic practitioner for a more personalized approach.
