Hello Honey,
It’s understandable to feel overwhelmed with these symptoms,
but there are effective ways to manage anxiety and its physical effects. Since your lab results, ECG, and thyroid function are normal, it’s likely that anxiety is contributing to your chest and throat discomfort, acid reflux, and sleep issues. Have you noticed any specific triggers for your anxiety or panic attack’s?? How long have you been experiencing these symptoms? Do you consume caffeine, alcohol, or smoke, as these can worsen anxiety?
Additionally, have you tried any relaxation techniques, counseling, or medications for anxiety management? Understanding these factors can help determine the best approach for relief and improving your overall well-being.

I’m sorry to hear you're dealing with anxiety and its symptoms. To help create a more effective plan for you, I’d need to know more about your lifestyle, emotional well-being, and daily stress levels. Do you experience triggers for your anxiety, such as certain situations, people, or thoughts? How is your diet—do you tend to consume stimulants like caffeine, sugar, or spicy foods, which could worsen acid reflux or anxiety? Understanding your sleep patterns, whether you experience nightmares, racing thoughts, or other sleep disturbances, would also be helpful.
From an Ayurvedic perspective, anxiety, panic attacks, and acid reflux are often signs of a Vata imbalance, particularly when Vata is disturbed in the Prana Vayu (the breath and mental energy). This can create feelings of instability, nervousness, and digestive issues like acid reflux, which worsens with stress. Additionally, Pitta dosha might be involved with the chest and throat discomfort, as it governs digestion and can cause inflammation and heat when out of balance.
Ayurvedic treatments for anxiety focus on calming the Vata dosha, soothing the mind, and improving digestion to prevent acid reflux. Herbs like Ashwagandha (for stress relief), Brahmi (to calm the mind and improve mental clarity), and Jatamansi (for anxiety and nervous system support) can help restore balance. Shankhapushpi can also be beneficial to calm the mind and improve sleep.
In addition, Triphala may be helpful for digestion and detoxification, reducing acid reflux symptoms, and improving overall gut health. Licorice and Ginger tea can soothe the stomach and reduce acid. To help calm your mind and relax your body, consider practicing pranayama (breathing exercises), such as Nadi Shodhana (alternate nostril breathing), which can be very effective in balancing the nervous system and calming anxiety.
Lastly, a Vata-pacifying diet with warm, nourishing meals and a routine that includes self-care like abhyanga (self-massage with warm oil) and gentle yoga can be beneficial in restoring balance and reducing anxiety.

Dear Honey Adorador,
Your symptoms—panic attacks, acid reflux, insomnia, chest and throat discomfort, and stomach fluttering—indicate an imbalance in Vata and Pitta dosha. Even though your medical tests are normal, Ayurveda recognizes that emotional and digestive health are deeply connected.
✔ Brahmi + Ashwagandha Churna (½ teaspoon each) with warm milk at night
✔ Avipattikar Churna (½ teaspoon) after meals with water
Tab Medha vati 1 tab twice daily after food
2. Diet & Lifestyle Recommendations
Drink coconut water or cooling herbal teas (coriander, fennel, and mint) for acid reflux.
Eat warm, fresh, and light meals (avoid spicy, oily, and processed foods).
Avoid coffee, tea, and carbonated drinks, as they increase acidity and anxiety.
Drink lukewarm water with 1 teaspoon of honey before bed to relax your nerves.
Abhyanga (self-massage with warm sesame oil) before bed to calm the nervous system.
• Practice deep breathing (Anulom Vilom & Bhramari Pranayama) for 10 minutes daily to control panic attacks.
• Avoid using mobile phones/screens at least 1 hour before sleep.
If symptoms persist, we may need to assess your Vata-Pitta balance more deeply and personalize herbal treatments. However, following this routine should bring significant relief.
Let me know if you need a customized Ayurvedic plan.

Anxiety and panic attacks can indeed feel overwhelming... especially when they come with acid reflux and disrupt sleep, it's not easy. First off, it’s good to hear your labs are normal – that’s one less thing to worry about. Now, anxiety and reflux often have this unholy alliance, you know? Pay attention to your Agni, your digestive fire. When that’s outta whack, it fans the flames of anxiety.
Let's start with your daily routine. Try eating lighter dinners, like a couple of hours before bedtime. Go for warm, digestible foods – think kitchari, a soothing mix of rice and mung dal. Spice it up with cumin and a pinch of asafoetida to help digestion. Skip the spicy or heavy meals at night, they're not doing you any favors, trust me.
Now, about that anxiety. Breathing exercises can really help... Simple, controlled breaths. Try Nadi Shodhana. It’s the alternate nostril breathing that calms the mind. Just a few minutes each day, ideally in the morning.
You mentioned throat discomfort and butterflies. It's likely your Vata dosha is on a rampage. Keep warm, both in terms of clothing, and the foods you consume. Herbal teas! Chamomile, tulsi... they’re your friends. Sip gently throughout the day.
For panic attacks specifically, grounding techniques are great. Pressing your feet firmly to the floor, really focusing on the connection with the ground. You gotta bring the attention away from your racing thoughts to the present moment. It's easier said than done—I know—but practice helps.
Sleep – it’s tricky. Establish a bedtime routine that involves no screens an hour before bed, no caffeine in the afternoon. Try Brahmi or Ashwagandha as these can offer some calming effects. Just be mindful of dosage and discuss with an Ayurvedic practitioner if possible.
If you're feeling like things are getting too overwhelming, reach out. Counseling or talking to someone professionally trained in mental health is a good step. Sometimes combining it with Ayurvedic practices gives a balanced approach.
Keep being kind to yourself through this. It’s a process, not a one-and-done thing. Be patient with the journey, alright? Small consistent steps can build up to larger, meaningful changes. Hang in there, you got this.
