Hello Reshma, I understand your concerns about fertility, especially with AMH levels at 1.6 and the challenges you’ve faced with IVF and IUI. Ayurveda can help support fertility by focusing on balancing hormones, improving reproductive health, and enhancing overall vitality. To better guide you, could you share your recent reports on hormone levels, including estradiol, progesterone, and any other fertility-related tests? Additionally, I’d like to know about your diet, lifestyle, and stress levels, as these can also influence fertility.

So you’re finding it difficult with fertility and IVF and IUI haven’t worked out, plus your AMH is 1.6. Totally get how challenging that must be. AMH’s at 1.6 means a l’il bit on the lower side, suggesting fewer eggs, but it doesn’t mean all hope is lost! Let’s look at some Ayurvedic stuff that might lend a hand.
First, we gotta focus on your Agni, or the digestive fire. It’s key for overall health, including fertility. Aim to keep that Agni strong with warm, cooked foods. Think of kitchari or spiced soups. Try including things like garlic, ginger, and cumin, they can stimulate digestion and strengthen Agni.
Herbs like Ashwagandha and Shatavari are classics in Ayurveda for female reproductive health. Ashwagandha could balance hormones, while Shatavari is nourishing for the female reproductive system. Find organic powders or tablets (whatever’s easier for you) and take them regularly, as per advice from an Ayuredic practitioner.
For lifestyle, make sure you sleep well and manage stress. Meditation every day, deep breathing, or even light walks in nature can go a long way. And on that yoga note, keep it up, it helps in reducing stress and improving blood flow.
Be mindful of your Prakriti, or constitution. Tailor diet and lifestyle changes according to whether you are Vata, Pitta, or Kapha dominant. Like if you’re Vata type, make sure you’re eating warm, moist food, avoiding cold and raw things.
Also, consider Panchakarma. It’s a detox therapy that can help to purify your body and enhance fertility. But, you should seek a proper Ayurvedic clinic for this.
Remember, all these things need time and consistency, so don’t lose hope yet. Keep track with a healthcare professional. If your period’s only lasting 2-3 days now, it might be worth mentioning to your doctor, just to make sure it’s normal for you. Life can be complicated, and fertility journeys often are a marathon rather than a sprint. Keep at it!
