When it comes to newborns with pigmentation variations, it’s often important to consider that these can be benign. In Ayurveda, pigmentation issues are linked to imbalances in the doshas, particularly Pitta dosha, which governs the skin’s pigmentation and overall health. Your baby may have a naturally higher Pitta constitution or an imbalance that’s showing up as pigmentation.

Firstly, as Ayurveda emphasizes natural treatments, I’d suggest some general lifestyle guidelines and remedies you might want to try. However, please consult with your pediatrician or a qualified Ayurvedic practitioner for personalized guidance.

1. Coconut Oil Application: A gentle massage with coconut oil can be soothing for baby’s skin. Coconut oil helps to balance Pitta and can nourish and protect the skin. Massage the chest area lightly every day, prefereably after a bath.

2. Soothe with Aloe Vera: Fresh aloe vera gel has cooling properties and can help to maintain Pitta balance. A small, gentle application on the affected areas might be helpful.

3. Diet for Nursing Mothers: If you are nursing, maintaining a Pitta-pacifying diet can be beneficial for your baby’s condition. Include cooling foods like cucumbers, melons, and avoid excessively spicy or sour foods.

4. Herbal Benefits: Turmeric is known for its anti-inflammatory properties, however it should be used with caution. A tiny amount of turmeric mixed in coconut oil might be helpful, but always do a patch test on your baby’s skin first.

5. Observe and Monitor: since it’s been present from birth without itching or other symptoms, just keep monitoring the pigmentation. Sometimes such birth-related pigmentation fades or changes over time.

Remember, each baby is unique, and healing takes time. Do not rush into multiple treatments simultaneously. Have patience but also maintain regular medical consultations to ensure overall well-being and proper diagnoses if needed.
