Dealing with ulcers for so long, I totally get how frustrating that can be. But let me say this first since ulcers can sometimes lead to serious complications, make sure to continue being monitored by a healthcare professional. Now, onto some Ayurveda paths you could explore to help manage this situation and possibly find some relief. In Ayurveda, ulcers can often be linked to an imbalance in the Pitta dosha, which tends to increase heat or inflammation in the body. First off, consider adopting a Pitta-pacifying diet. This means you'd focus on cooling, non-spicy, and more soothing foods to calm that fiery Pitta energy. Think of things like cucumbers, melons, sweet fruits, avocado, or coconut water. Avoid coffee, fried foods, and anything too spicy or acidic, it might worsen your situation. Triphala could become your ally here. It's a balancing herbal formula that's gentle on the stomach and could help regulate digestion. Take a 500 mg capsule with warm water or a teaspoon of Triphala powder before bed. Besides, Aloe vera juice, known for its soothing properties, can also aid. You might want to try about 20-30 ml in the morning on an empty stomach. Try stress-reducing practices, like meditation or simple breathing exercises, to help calm the mind, which affects digestion more than we realize. Yoga postures like Supta Baddha Konasana and Uttanasana can gently massage the abdominal region and may help you offload stress. Remember, herbs like licorice (Mulethi) in moderate amounts could provide relief for ulcers by forming a protective lining over the stomach. But limit to about 1 teaspoon of powdered licorice root a day, avoid long-term use over 6 weeks. Watch out though, Ayurveda's about the bigger picture and lifestyle, so these remedies should be integrated thoughtfully, alongside any other treatments you're undergoing. Always consult with a qualified Ayurvedic practitioner in your area to get tailored advice and further support on this journey.
