Hello Saurav I can understand your condition. You must be taking allopathy medications for asthma that may cause execessive dryness. I will suggest you to take some ayurvedic medication which will help you to tackle both asthma and your dryness 1. Agasthya rasyanam 1 tsp, morning empty stomach 2. Dashmoolkatutreya ks tab 2-0-2 after food 3. Asthavin lehyam 1 tsp at bed time follwed by warm water
Externally i would suggest you to take full body abhynga with eladi coconut oil in nearby ayurvedic center
If not possible you can massage with eladi coconut oil and keep light coating of the oil on the most itching areas
Hope this help you

Understanding dry and itchy skin in Ayurveda involves a comprehensive approach considering your dosha, primarily Vata imbalance in your case. This imbalance often causes dryness, roughness, and sensitivity. Here’s a detailed approach:
First, diet plays a crucial role. Emphasize warm, moist, and nourishing foods. Include ghee, cooked vegetables like carrots and beets, and vital herbs like Ashwagandha - these help pacify Vata. Avoid cold, dry, and rough foods, like dry cereals, raw salads and carbonated beverages, furthering dryness.
Your skin needs external nourishment, too. Use warm oils for massage (abhyanga) such as sesame or almond oil – known for their deeply moisturizing properties. Apply them gently after warming slightly, ideally before your daily bath. This not only hydrates but calms the nerves, reducing the urge to itch.
Also consider herbal support, like applying aloe vera gel or natural honey on the affected areas. These provide soothing relief. Ensure your soaps and cleansers are gentle, avoiding harsh chemicals that can strip your skin’s natural moisture.
Managing stress is vital, as it can exacerbate both your skin condition and asthma. Incorporate practices like deep breathing, meditation, or yoga on a regular basis into your routine. Pranayama exercises, especially Nadi Shodhana, help calm the mind and improve lung function.
Keep in mind, a regular sleep routine also supports overall health and aids in stress reduction, so try to get 7-8 hours of restful sleep each night.
Finally, maintain hydration. Drink warm water or herbal teas generously throughout the day to keep your skin and body hydrated from within.
It’s wise to have a consultation with an Ayurvedic practitioner to personalize these suggestions further, especially considering your asthma. They can offer additional customized solutions to harmonize your dosha profile effectively. If you experience severe symptoms like, open wounds frequently, seeking immediate medical attention is essential.
