First, addressing your prolonged gastritis, relying on the same medicine, occasionally is quite common, but it may not fully resolve the underlying issue. Long-term use of certain medications, like antacids or proton pump inhibitors, should be monitored by a healthcare professional to avert potential side effects. Ayurveda offers a holistic approach addressing the root cause by considering dosha imbalances, specifically Pitta dosha, which often leads to gastritis. Focusing on your diet is crucial in managing gastritis. Avoid foods that increase Pitta, such as spicy, fried, or very sour dishes. Prefer cooling and soothing foods – like cooked vegetables, rice, milk, and ghee. Incorporate sips of cooled water boiled with fennel seeds throughout the day. Emphasize on regular meals and avoid overeating, which stresses digestion. Chewing ginger before meals can invigorate the Agni (digestive fire). For pulsatile tinnitus, although a comprehensive evaluation to rule out vascular or other serious causes is ideal; in Ayurveda, we focus on balancing Vata dosha. A warm sesame oil massage on the head can offer some relief. Practicing Pranayama or yogic breathing techniques helps manage stress levels, which might also influence the symptom. Regarding borderline cholesterol and sugar levels, regular physical activity is recommended, like walking or light yoga. These not only improve metabolism but can help keep cholesterol and sugar levels in check. Diet-wise, incorporate foods that support Kapha balance like oats and barley, alongside using herbs like Guduchi and Arjuna in your regimen. Consistency in lifestyle choices, aligned with your constitution, is key. Avoid harmful late-night snacking or irregular eating habits, which might worsen your symptoms. It’s beneficial to follow a routine -- waking up early, having meals at same times daily, and ensuring a good night's sleep. Consulting with an Ayurvedic practitioner to tailor a plan based on your Prakriti could further facilitate a comprehensive approach to these concerns. Meanwhile, keep in contact with your primary healthcare provider to discuss any changes in symptoms or medications.
