—Cellulite is very common and mainly happens when fat pushes against the connective tissue under the skin, creating a dimpled appearance. It is not only due to fat and even fit people can have it. -In Ayurveda it can be related to mild Kapha accumulation and sometimes ama, but it is usually not caused by ama alone. -It cannot always be completely removed, but it can improve with lifestyle changes. Strength training, maintaining a healthy weight, good hydration, and lymphatic stimulation like dry brushing or massage can help. -A balanced diet with good protein, fruits, vegetables, and anti-inflammatory foods is beneficial. It is best to limit refined sugar, ultra-processed foods, excess salt, and alcohol, as these may worsen cellulite. ----Rx 1) Triphala Churna – 3 g HS with warm water 2)Kaishore Guggulu – 2 tab BD after meals 3)Trikatu Churna – 1 g BD before meals with warm water (for Agni) 4)Punarnava Mandur – 1 tab BD after meals (for fluid metabolism) 5) Udvartana with Kolakulathadi Churna / Triphala Churna daily before bath. 6) Abhyanga with sesame oil to thighs and hips —Aahar (Diet): • Light, balanced diet with adequate protein • Include vegetables, fruits, warm water, spices (ginger, cumin, turmeric) • Avoid refined sugar, fried/processed foods, excess salt, alcohol —Vihar (Lifestyle): • Regular exercise / weight training 3–4×/week • Maintain healthy weight • Adequate hydration • Regular sleep routine –Follow-up: 4 weeks Advice: Gradual improvement expected with regular diet, exercise, and treatment.

Is Ama causing it ?? yes when digestion is sluggish low fibre food it creates ama since you are a pitta Dosha you must careful not over stimulate your system with hot remedies dry brushing you are already doing this which is great for pitta traditionally uses a dry herbal powder like chickpea flour with triphala rather than just a brush weight lifting is excellent increasing muscle mass improve underline structure of skin Dietary recommendation avoid excessive salt which cause water retention refine Sugars fermented Sour Food vinegar cheese use high fibre leafy green lentils and whole grains bitter food hydration is most important warm not hot water a squeeze of lime to flesh toxins Can it be totally removed ?? while total removal is difficult because cellulite is influenced by Genetics and hormones it can be minimised by improving lymphatic drainage and strengthening less skin integrity to diet and weight lifting Start taking triphala powder or tablet at bed time once a week use coconut oil before you dry brush session to keep skin elastic use the oil in the whole body

Namaste, Cellulite is a common condition where fat deposits and connective tissue changes under the skin create a dimpled appearance, usually on thighs, hips, or buttocks. In Ayurveda, it can sometimes be associated with fat metabolism imbalance and accumulation of toxins (Ama) along with circulation issues. Simple measures that may help: Continue regular exercise and weight training, as muscle strengthening can improve skin tone and circulation. Dry brushing and regular oil massage (Abhyanga) may help support lymphatic circulation. Improve fiber intake with vegetables, fruits, and whole grains to support digestion. Reduce excess sugar, processed foods, and refined carbohydrates, which may contribute to fat accumulation. Drink adequate water and maintain regular digestion to reduce toxin buildup. Cellulite often improves gradually with lifestyle changes, but complete removal may not always be possible. Consistency with diet, exercise, and circulation-supporting practices usually gives better results. Ayurvedic medicines sometimes used to support metabolism and fat balance include: Triphala – traditionally used to support digestion and detox balance. Guggulu preparations – sometimes used to support fat metabolism. Consult me for more advice and suggestions on the above medicines.

HELLO, Cellulite is very common in women and from an Ayurvedic view it usually involves a mix of -Kapha + meda (fat tissue) imbalace -ama (metabolic toxins) -weak ai (digestive fire) -poor lymphatic circulation -sometimes vata in the tissues (especially if skin is dry) Even if your Prakriti is pitta, cellulite often develop when kapha accumulates in the subcutaneous tissue while agni is slightly weak, which fits with your symptoms of occasional bloating and low fiber diet IS CELLULITE CAUSED BY AMA? Often yes, partially In Ayurveda cellulite is similar to -meda Dhatu dushti (fat tissue disorder) -srotorodha (blocked channels) -ama accumulation PROCESS -Weak digestion-> ama forms -ama mixes with meda Dhatu -circulation + lymph flow become sluggish -fat becomes sticky and uneven in tissues -skin shows dimples However cellulite is not only Ama. It also involves -connective tissue structure -estrogen -lymph stagnation So we treat digestion + lymph + fat metabolism + tissue tone CAN CELLULITE BE TOTALLY REMOVED Realistically -comple removal= rare -70-90% reduction= very possibly Especially at 31 year old if you -lose a little fat -build muscle -improve lymph flow -fix digestion Ayurveda + strength training is actually an excellent combination You are already doing two of the best things -dry brushing -weight lifting Your clues -pitta constitution -occassional bloating -low fiber diet -cellulite > 1 year LIKELY IMBALANCE -Pitta-kapha with mild ama Meaning -diestion not optimal -lymph slow -meda Dhatu accumulation GOAL -improve agni -remove ama -stimulate lymph -tone tissues FOODS THAT WORSEN CELLULITE These increases kapha + ama + meda dhatu Avoid SUGAR -sweets -desserts -sweet drinks -pastries REFINED CARBS -white bread -white pasta -biscuits DAIRY EXCESS -cheese -cream -ice cream Small amount of ghee is fine FRIED FOOD COLD FOODS -iced drinks -cold smotthies -cold yogurt cold weakens agni EXCESS SALT -causes water retention-> cellulite more visible PROCESSED FOOD -creates ama quickly FOODS THAT REDUCE CELLULITE These stimulate fat metabolism and lymph flow SPICES VERY IMPORTANT -ginger -turmeric -black pepper -cumin -coriander -cinnamon These burn ama and meda DIGESTION TEA -ginger -cumin -coriander -fennel Drink after meals HIGH FIBER FOODS Your diet being low in fiber is likely contributing -vegetables -leafy greens -lentils -chickpea -flax seeds -chia seeds FIBER HELPS -remove ama -improve gut bacteria -regulate fat metabolism BEST VEGETABLES -asparagua -bitter gourd -broccoli -cabbage -leafy greens -bottle gourd These reduce kapha and meda GOOD FRUITS -berries -pomegranate -apply -papaya Avoid excessive sweet fruit AYURVEDIC MEDICATIONS HELP CELLULITE 1) TRIPHALA CHURNA= 1 tsp at night with warm water =improves ama, improves digestion, reduces fat tissue stagnation 2) TRIPHALA GUGGULU= 2 tabs twice daily after meals 3) MEDOHARA GUGGULU= 1 tab twice daily after meals =fat metabolism , lymph detox, anti inflammatory 4) PUNARNAVA CAPSULE= 1 cap twice daily after meals =excellent for water retention + lymph stagnation EXTERNAL THERAPIES DRY BRUSHING You arre doing this already- excellent =stimulates lymph, improves circulation, reduces fluid stagnation Do daily before shower AYURVEDIC OIL MASSAGE= TRIPHALA OIL massage towards heart 3-5 times weekly EXERCISE Your plan is very good BEST STRENGTH TRAINING builds muscle-> tightens tissue FOCUS= glutes, hamstring, quads BEST EXERCISE= squats, lunges, hip thrusts, romanian deadlifts ADD WALKING 30-40 minutes daily =improves lymph circulation HYDRATION Drink 2-2.5 L warm water daily warm water helps -melt ama -improve lymph flow You can add -lemon -ginger TIMELINE FOR IMPROVEMENT If you follow this consistently First improvement= 6-8 weeks Significant improvement= 3-6 months Cellulite responds slowly but steadily Estrogen influences cellulite So also support -good sleep -stress reduction -avoid endocrine disrupts (plastics, pesticides) DO FOLLOW HOPE THIS MIGHT BE HELPFUL THANK YOU

Ayurvedic Perspective— - Ayurveda often associates cellulite with ama (toxic buildup from weak digestion/metabolism) and imbalance in Kapha dosha (linked to heaviness, stagnation, and fluid retention). - Since you’ve been told you are Pitta dominant, cellulite may reflect a Kapha imbalance layered over your constitution. - Occasional bloating and a low‑fiber diet suggest some digestive sluggishness, which Ayurveda would see as contributing to ama. Foods to Limit— - Heavy, oily, fried foods - Excess dairy (especially cheese, cream) - Refined sugar and processed foods - Excess salt (can worsen fluid retention) - Cold, stale, or leftover foods (Ayurveda considers these harder to digest) Supportive Practices— - Weightlifting + mild cardio: builds muscle, improves circulation, reduces fat deposits. - Dry brushing: stimulates lymphatic flow, which Ayurveda and modern wellness both value. - Fiber‑rich diet: whole grains, legumes, vegetables, fruits—this reduces bloating and helps clear ama. - Warm water and herbal teas: fennel, ginger, cumin, coriander—support digestion. Rx 1.Medohara guggulu 2 tab twice daily with water after meals 2.Triphala churna 1 tsp at bedtime with warm water 3.Guduchighan vati 2 tab twice daily with water after meals 4.Amla churna 1/2 tsp twice daily with water before meals
