Managing Biliary Colic Without Gallbladder Removal - #51567

Client_f4cdf3

I am 71, very active and healthy yet just started having biliary colic after eating a meal with any oil-based ingredients. Ultrasound shows 1 gallstone 1.35 mm and gallbladder opening is 6 mm. I eat pretty healthy. No fried food, no pork, little beef. I have eliminated eggs and dairy. Have increased salads and veggies. I would prefer not to have my gallbladder removed. What do you suggest?

HELLO, For a 71 year old active person with a small gallstone and biliary colic after fatty meals, Ayurveda focuses on improving bile flow, reducing gallbladder spasm, digesting “ama” (metabolic toxins) and gradually reducing stone formation, while protecting digestion and liver function. Surgery is generally recommended in modern medicine when symptoms are frequent, but Ayurvedic management can often reduce attacks and support gallbladder function, especially with a small stone Biliary colic correlated with Pittaji-vataja disturbance in liver gallbladder system KEY FACTORS -Pitta aggravation-> bile thickening -Vata aggravation-> spasmodic pain -Ama accumulation-> stone formation TREATMENT GOALS -improve bile flow -reduce gallbladder inflammation -dissolve/prevent stones -improve digestion -prevent spasms DIETARY MANAGEMENT -steamed vegetables -light soups -bitter vegetables -fiberrich foods BEST FOODS FOR GALLBLADDER HEALTH -bittergourd -bottle gourd -ridge gourd -radish -beetroot -carrot -green leafy vegetables Use small quantities of cow the 1/2 tsp instead of vegetable oils if fat is needed- paradoxically it stimulates proper bile flow without congestion in Ayurveda. INTERNAL MEDICATIONS 1) AROGYAVARDHINI VATI= 1 tab twice daily after meals =liver detox, improves bile metabolism 2) AVIPATTIKAR CHURNA= 1/2 tsp with warm water after meals =reduces excess pitta, improves digestion 3) KUTKI CHURNA= 500m twice daily before meals with warm water =stimulates bile flow, liver detox, prevents stone growth 4) KALMEGHA CAPSULE= 500mg cap twice daily after meals =anti-inflamatory , supports liver and gallbladder 5) BRINGARAJ CAPSULE = 1 cap twice daily after meals =best for liver rejuvneation 6) TRIPHALA CHURNA= 1 tsp at bedtime in warm water =improves digestion, prevents bile stagnation SIMPLE HOME REMEDIES 1) MORNING LIVER STIMULANT -warm water + lemon + pinch turmeric =improves bile flow 2) APPLE CIDER VINEGAR REMEDY -1 tsp in warm water before meals =may reduce biliary pain 3) TURMERIC+ BLACK PEPPER -1/2 tsp turmeric daily with black pepper pinch =anti inflammatory for gallbladder GALLBLADDER SPASM RELIEF When biliary colic starts -warm water sipping -castor oil pack over liver area -gentle right side abdominal massage -hingwastaka churna= 1/4 tsp with warm water =relieves vata induced spasms LIFESTYLE MEASURES -Eat smaller meals -avoid long fasting -walk 20-30 minutes daily -maintain hydration -avoid late night meals Best meal schedule -Breakfast= light -Lunch= main meal -Dinner= very light Ayurvedic management -reduce biliary pain -improve bile flow -prevent stone growth -improve digestion But complete stone dissolution is unpredictable, especially if the stone is calcified DO FOLLOW HOPE THIS MIGHT BE HELPFUL THANK YOU
