I am really curious about how to take honey in the morning. I've heard all this stuff about its benefits, but honestly, I'm not sure how to incorporate it into my routine. For the past few months, I've been feeling sluggish when I wake up, like I need a little boost to start my day, ya know? I tried mixing it with warm water, which I thought would be great, but it seems like I’m not doing it right or something. Should I add lemon too? Or maybe take it straight? I want to really understand how to take honey in the morning so that I get the most out of it. I also read somewhere that if you take honey with something before your breakfast, it helps digestion, but I’m kinda confused about what that means. Sometimes I just feel overwhelmed by all the options, and I don’t wanna mess it up. Anyone got advice on how to take honey in the morning effectively? My gut tells me it could be helpful, but I just need some clear guidance. Thanks!

Mixing honey with warm water is a great start, just make sure the water isn’t too hot, as high temperatures can alter honey’s beneficial properties. Aim for lukewarm water to keep those enzymes and nutrients intact. You can add a splash of lemon to this mix, as the vitamin C will give you an extra immunity boost and aid digestion as well.

Another simple way to use honey is to take one teaspoon of honey on an empty stomach. This can provide an immediate energy boost, while its soothing effects can help clear congestion and improve mood. If you choose to add lemon, do this in moderation, as too much can become overly sour and irritable for some.

If you’re feeling sluggish, Ayurveda suggests such sluggishness could be related to an imbalance in Kapha doshas, which could be weighing you down in the mornings. Honey has a natural affinity with all doshas, but especially Kapha, making morning a perfect time to take it.
