how to remove tooth cavity at home - #25139

Noah

I am struggling with this tooth cavity situation and feel kinda desperate. A couple of weeks ago, I started to have this awful pain in one of my molars. I thought it was just a sensitivity thing at first, but then I noticed this black spot on it. Google told me it’s probably a cavity and I freaked out! I can’t afford a dentist right now, and I really want to know how to remove tooth cavity at home since I’ve been hearing all these home remedies floating around. I tried rinsing with salt water, and even brushing with baking soda, but if I'm honest, I’m not seeing any improvement. I heard that clove oil can be good too, but it’s kinda hard to figure out the correct way to use it. Is there actually a real way to remove tooth cavity at home without like hurting myself even more? Or is it pointless? I’m a bit scared because all this just feels overwhelming, and I’m trying to avoid the dentist until I can save up. Any tips or experiences with how to remove tooth cavity at home would be super helpful!

Tooth cavities can indeed be challenging, and it's important to address them carefully to prevent further complications. In Ayurveda, we focus more on prevention and management of tooth decay naturally rather than trying to "remove" cavities at home, as that really requires professional treatment. However, there are a few strategies that might help in reducing pain and prevent the cavity from worsening until you can see a dentist. Firstly, clove oil can be really effective in dealing with tooth pain. It has natural analgesic properties. To use it safely, put a few drops on a cotton ball and gently apply to the affected tooth, avoiding the gums, for a few minutes, then rinse with warm water. Do this two to three times a day and it might help alleviate the discomfort. Incorporate oil pulling into your morning routine using sesame or coconut oil. Swish a tablespoon in your mouth for about 10-15 minutes without swallowing, then spit it out, rinse with water and brush your teeth, as usual. This may help remove bacteria and improve oral health. Triphalachurna, a blend of three fruits known for their antioxidant properties, may also support oral health. You can mix a bit with warm water and use it as a gargle after brushing in the evening. Stick with a diet that minimizes sugar intake as cavities feed on sugar and acidic foods, which can exacerbate decalcification of your enamel. If it aligns with your dietary practices, introducing crunchy fruits and vegetables like apples and carrots can massage gums and aid in reducing plaque buildup. While these methods can provide temporary relief, they are not substitutes for proper dental care. Without professional treatment, cavities will likely worsen and could lead to more severe issues like infections. It would be best to consult with a dentist as soon as financial circumstances allow, as this remains the most effective way to treat cavities. In urgent cases where the pain is unbearable, seek dental assistance immediately, especially if any infection is suspected. Balancing ayurvedic practices with professional medical advice offers the best path forward for oral health.
