Painful pimples often point towards an imbalance in your doshas, particularly Pitta, which governs hormones and metabolism. To tackle these breakouts at a root level, let’s address the factors you mentioned: hormones, diet, and stress.

Firstly, look at your diet. It’s vital to consume cooling foods to pacify the excess Pitta. Include more ripe fruits like pears and melons, leafy greens such as spinach, and grains like basmati rice in your meals. Dairy products like milk and ghee can be beneficial in modration. Avoid spicy, oily, or fried food, as well as caffeine and alcohol, which might aggravate your condition. Try to drink about 8-10 glasses of lukewarm water daily to help with detoxification and improve digestion.

Now, considering hormones and stress, it’s crucial to promote balance through lifestyle changes. Establish a regular routine that includes yoga and meditation. Practices like Shavasana and deep-breathing exercises can significantly help in reducing stress. Aim to sleep early and wake up with the sun, keeping your circadian rhythm in harmony.

For topical treatment, applying a paste made from sandalwood powder and rose water can provide relief from pain and inflammation. Leave it on for about 15 minutes before rinsing and do this once a day. Neem oil is another effective option; apply a few drops directly on the affected area after cleansing your face.

And don’t forget your internal balance; taking Triphala powder with warm water before bed can help support digestion and detoxification. It’s a gentle herbal remedy that won’t clash with other treatments you’re using.

Remember that these Ayurvedic remedies are gradual and require some time and consistency. If your condition does not improve or worsens, it’s important to consult a healthcare professional or a dermatologist to explore further treatment options that may be needed.

Recurrent painful pimples can be frustrating, indeed. From a Siddha-Ayurvedic perspective, such skin issues often indicate an imbalance in the doshas, particularly Pitta, which relates to heat and inflammation, and sometimes Vata, which involves stress or irregular lifestyle influences. To tackle this effectively, it is important to approach the problem holistically, addressing both external and internal factors.

First, let’s consider your diet. Since Pitta can be aggravated by spicy, oily, and acidic foods, I’d suggest you minimize these in your meals. Instead, focus on incorporating cooling, calming foods like cucumbers, melons, and leafy greens. Drinking plenty of water and herbal teas with coriander or mint can also help maintain internal balance and cleanse your system.

Externally, applying a natural paste of sandalwood and rose water can soothe the irritated areas. Do this daily, ideally in the evening for 20-30 minutes before rinsing off. Avoid using products with harsh chemicals and focus on gentle herbal formulations to cleanse and moisturize your face.

Internally, maintaining strong Agni, or digestive fire, is crucial. Consider having a teaspoon of Triphala powder with warm water before bed. This can aid digestion, detoxify, and improve skin health over time. Meditation or mindfulness practices can help reduce stress, a common trigger for Vata disruptions leading to skin issues.

Finally, ensure you maintain regular sleep patterns and avoid late nights whenever possible. Consistent routines are key in calming Vata and supporting your body’s natural cycles. If these measures do not bring about improvement, it’s wise to consult a practitioner who can provide personalized treatment based on your specific Prakriti.
