SNA Arimedaadi Oil - #29659
I am really confused about this whole SNA Arimedaadi Oil thing. A couple of weeks ago, I started noticing some weird skin issues, like dryness and redness mostly around my elbows and knees. I honestly thought it was just dry skin from the changing weather, but then my friend recommended this oil, saying it worked wonders for her eczema. I thought, why not? I ordered SNA Arimedaadi Oil and have been using it for about five days now. I read that it helps with skin conditions, but I don't see much improvement yet. Should I be applying it more often? I’ve been putting it on twice a day, and sometimes I feel like the area gets a bit oily and maybe that’s not good? It's also giving me some doubts about whether this oil is truly the right choce for my skin type. Like, is it okay for sensitive skin or should I expect to see results faster or somethin? Also, my skin is kinda delicate, and now I'm worried I might be making it worse instead of better. Have other folks here tried SNA Arimedaadi Oil for similar issues? I mean, what’s the best way to use it? Should I be, like massaging it in or just letting it sit? Any tips would really help! Thanks, guys!!

Doctors’ responses
SNA Arimedaadi Oil is specifically formulated to address a variety of skin issues, and is known for its soothing and moisturizing properties, especially in classical Ayurvedic practices. Given your symptoms of dryness and redness around elbows and knees, these could indeed be linked to vata imbalance or mild skin irritation due to weather changes. Arimedaadi Oil is often used for conditions like eczema and dryness, and it’s generally suitable for sensitive skin. But, individual reactions can vary.
Applying it twice a day as you already are is quite consistent. However, if you’re finding the skin too oily, reducing the application to once a day and observing your skin’s reaction might suit your needs better. When applying, warm a small amount of oil in your hands as this can enhance absorption. Gently massage the oil into affected areas, and allow it to sit for at least 20-30 minutes before rinsing it off with warm water. This can help skin to absorb the benefits without feeling too greasy.
If the oil doesn’t show significant improvements in a couple of weeks, it may be worth reconsidering its use. While natural, some oils are not necessarily a one-size-fits-all solution. Keep an eye on other products you use, as combining agents may inadvertently irritate skin further.
If issues persist or worsen, see a dermatologist to ensure there’s no underlying condition that needs specific treatment. They’re best equipped for offerings guidance tailored to specific skin types and issues. While Arimedaadi Oil is helpful, making sure it is well-suited to your skin’s current state is key for optimal results.
Based on what you’ve described, dryness and redness could be linked to a Vata imbalance in Ayurvedic terms, as Vata governs dryness and roughness. SNA Arimedaadi Oil is traditionally formulated to address dental and gum health, but it can also be beneficial for skin when it’s aligned with your dosha balance and specific skin needs. However, each individual’s response to a treatment can differ greatly, particularly if your skin is sensitive.
The first thing to check is how your skin feels after applying the oil. If it’s too oily, you might be using more than necessary. It’s best to apply a thin layer twice a day—once in the morning and again before bed. Make sure it’s absorbed well into the skin by gently massaging it into the affected areas for about 3-5 minutes. This can improve absorption and effectiveness while promoting circulation.
For sensitive skin, patch-testing any new product is key. Apply a small amount on your inner forearm and wait 24 hours to rule out any allergic reaction. If you notice redness or irritation during this period, discontinue use.
Results with Ayurvedic treatments can sometimes take longer, as they work to address the root cause and restore balance. If after a week or two, you see no improvement or if conditions worsen, reconsider its use or consult a practitioner specialized in Siddha-Ayurveda for a tailored approach, especially considering your skin’s delicateness.
Remember, if you start noticing significant irritation or if your condition begins to deteriorate, it’s prudent to seek further evaluation as you might require a different treatment strategy. Balance is paramount, so keep listening to how your body responds to the treatment and adapt accordingly.
