Abhinav Gloderm Ointment - #31000
I am dealing with this really annoying skin issue that just won’t go away. A few weeks ago, my doctor recommended I try Abhinav Gloderm Ointment for some itchy patches that popped up on my arms and legs. At first, I thought it was just an allergy or something, maybe from some plants I was gardening with, but things kinda escalated. The itching gets super intense, especially at night, and sometimes it looks reddish or inflamed. I started using the Abhinav Gloderm Ointment a few days back but maybe I'm not using it correctly? I apply it twice a day as I was told, but I'm not seeing any notable improvement. Sometimes I wonder if I should change my diet too? Also, I started getting little bumps around the areas where I use the ointment, which is confusing. Has anyone else used Abhinav Gloderm Ointment? How long did it take for you to notice a difference? Like, is this normal? Just feel kinda stuck here. I mean, should I be worried if the bumps keep coming up, or is that part of the healing process? Do I need to mix it with anything or avoid specific stuff while using it? Thanks for any advice!

Doctors’ responses
Abhinav Gloderm Ointment can be beneficial for skin issues, but it seems like there might be factors at play beyond just topical treatment. Since you’re experiencing increased bumps and the itching is persistent, it’s good to explore if there’s an underlying trigger or if the ointment itself might be causing some irritation. Skin reactions can vary greatly among individuals.
Firstly, if you’ve noticed little bumps appearing where you’re applying the ointment, it could be an indication of sensitivity or an allergic reaction to one of its components. It’s not a common reaction, but it’s worth noting and discussing with your healthcare provider, especially if you see no improvement.
Now, regarding your diet, Ayurveda emphasizes the importance of managing imbalances through ahara (diet). Skin issues often originate from pitta imbalances, so consider reducing excessively spicy, oily, or sour foods, which aggravate pitta. Instead, consume cooling, mild, and naturally sweet foods such as cucumber, watermelon, and milk*. Favor foods that are fresh and easily digestible; avoid highly processed or preserved foods.
Stress and lack of rest can exacerbate skin problems too, which you’ve said flares up particularly at night. Trying regular yoga, meditation, or pranayama practices can aid the body in restoring equilibrium.
If changes in your routine, diet and stress management don’t seem to help or if symptoms worsen, I would strongly advise consulting with a dermatologist or another healthcare professional. They can provide more insight especially if a different treatment approach is needed. Avoid mixing the ointment with other products unless directed by your doctor, as it may complicate the symptoms further.
Keep tabs on your body’s response to these adjustments, and make sure you consult with professionals if needed for a tailored, safe approach.
