In Ayurveda, discolored teeth and spots are often linked to dietary habits, lifestyle choices, and oral hygiene practices. To restore your teeth’s natural color, a holistic approach can be effective. Begin with diet. Minimize consumption of foods and drinks that cause discoloration, like coffee, tea, and sugary sodas. Prefer cleansing foods, including apples, carrots, and celery, which serve as natural toothbrushes by scrubbing away stains.

Ayurvedic remedies can complement dietary changes. Consider using turmeric and coconut oil for oil pulling. Each morning, take a spoonful of coconut oil, mix it with a pinch of turmeric, and swish it in your mouth for around 10 to 15 minutes. This practice can detoxify the oral cavity, improve gum health, and may also reduce spots over time. Afterwards, rinse your mouth with warm water and brush your teeth.

Herbs like neem can also be beneficial. You might chew on neem sticks or use a neem-based toothpaste, well known for its antibacterial properties, to help maintain oral health and reduce discoloration. Additionally, consider using a mix of baking soda and tooth powder like triphala occasionally as an alternative to your regular brushing routine. Gently rubbing your teeth with this mixture might help in removing stubborn stains without harming the enamel.

Hydration plays an important role too. Drink ample water throughout the day, especially after meals, to cleanse the mouth and prevent particles from sticking to the teeth. Keep stress levels in check as it affects your oral health indirectly. Practice yoga or meditation to maintain mental balance.

Ensure you are brushing twice daily with a soft-bristle brush, and using a tongue scraper. Also, follow up with regular dental check-ups to monitor progress. Its essential to approach this process consistently for noticeable results. While Ayurveda offers natural remedies, always consult your healthcare provider before trying a new regimen, especially if your dental condition persists or worsens.

To address discoloration and spots on your teeth, approaching the issue from a holistic Siddha-Ayurvedic perspective can be beneficial. Often, such discoloration is related to an imbalance in pitta dosha which may have caused a disturbance in your oral health. Here are some practical steps you can consider:

1. Oil Pulling: Try oil pulling using sesame oil or coconut oil every morning before brushing your teeth. Swish the oil in your mouth for about 10-15 minutes, then spit it out and rinse your mouth with warm water. This practice can help remove toxins and may gradually improve teeth color.

2. Herbal Tooth Powder: Prepare a tooth powder using equal parts of licorice root powder, neem powder, and a pinch of clove powder. Use this instead of toothpaste two to three times a week. These herbs have antimicrobial properties and can assist in balancing oral pH, potentially aiding in the improvement of color over time.

3. Triphala Gargle: Rinse your mouth with a solution made from 1 teaspoon of Triphala powder dissolved in warm water daily. This can help heal any mouth inflammations and support oral health.

4. Dietary Adjustments: Incorporate a diet rich in calcium and avoid excessive consumption of foods high in acidity or those that stain easily, like soda or coffee. Green leafy vegetables, dairy products, and sesame seeds can support dental health and contribute to balancing pitta dosha.

5. Hydration with Filtered Water: Make sure your regular water intake is from a clean and viable source. If it’s a local water issue, using a good quality water filter can mitigate any adverse effects on your teeth.

6. Physical Examination: Consider visiting a dental professional to get a clear understanding of any deep-seated oral issues despite following hygienic practices. Sometimes underlying conditions require direct interventions.

These steps respect the principles of balancing doshas and maintaining overall oral hygiene while promoting a sustainable routine in daily life. If the condition persists or worsens, consulting a dental specialist remains a vital consideration for a comprehensive check.
