Ayurveda suggests that problems like pimples, dullness and oiliness, are often results of an imbalance in Pitta and Kapha doshas. To address these, we need a plan focusing on diet, lifestyle, and skincare.

Begin with your diet. Incorporate cooling and detoxifying foods such as bitter gourd, cilantro, and drinks like aloe vera juice. Avoid spicy, oily, and very sour foods as they aggravate pitta. Hydrate with at least 3 liters of water each day to flush out toxins and keep skin hydrated.

Regarding skincare, create a ritual that balances and cleanses. Morning cleansing with a turmeric and chickpea flour paste can help remove dead skin and reduce oiliness and pimples. A weekly Neem and sandalwood powder mask can address inflammation and redness. Moisturize with a non-comedogenic oil like jojoba or almond, which helps with both oily and rough areas.
