Revinto Jathyadi Taila - #32927
I am really confused about something and could use some advice. I recently started using Revinto Jathyadi Taila for my dry skin problem that’s been bothering me for months. I mean, I've tried a ton of creams and lotions, but nothing really helped. My skin gets flaky and itchy, especially in winter—it’s like I’m a lizard shedding skin or something! A few weeks ago, a friend told me about Revinto Jathyadi Taila, and they seemed to rave about how it worked wonders for them. I thought, “Why not?” I’ve been using it daily as suggested, but I haven’t seen a massive improvement yet. Sometimes I even wonder if I'm using it wrong or if I’m expecting too much too soon. I've read that Revinto Jathyadi Taila has amazing natural properties and can help with skin issues, but I’m getting a bit impatient. Could it be that I’m not applying it the right way? Should I be mixing it with something else? Or is it just that my skin is so stubborn that it needs more time? I’m kinda worried and don’t want to feel defeated by this dry skin thing. Any tips or thoughts from those who’ve used Revinto Jathyadi Taila would be super helpful! Thx!

Doctors’ responses
Revinto Jathyadi Taila is indeed well-regarded in Ayurveda for its therapeutic potential in managing skin issues, including dryness and itchiness. However, there are a few factors to consider for optimal use and results.
Firstly, you’re right in thinking that patience is needed. Ayurvedic treatments often require consistent long-term application to see significant changes, particularly for chronic conditions like dry skin. Typically, noticeable improvements can take a few weeks, even a couple of months. Keep an eye on subtle changes as your skin’s response may be gradual.
You’re applying it daily, which is ideal. Ensure your skin is clean, dry, and slightly warm before application, to enable better absorption. You can gently warm the oil before use to enhance penetration - a common practice in Ayurveda. Use just enough to lightly coat the affected areas, and give it time to soak in properly by leaving it on for at least 30 minutes before rinsing or wiping excess if necessary.
Additionally, consider coupling the taila with lifestyle and dietary adjustments. Incorporate hydrating foods like ghee, almonds and freshly cooked vegetables, and avoid excessively dry, processed foods. Stay hydrated, and drink warm water or herbal teas like fennel or chamomile, which can aid in balancing Vata dosha, commonly responsible for skin dryness.
If you’re open to it, practicing Abhyanga (oil massage) with sesame or coconut oil once a week can further nourish and support skin health.
If despite consistent use, there’s still no improvement, exploring potential underlying factors with a practitioner could be useful, as sometimes dryness might be linked to nutritional deficiencies or other imbalances. Remember, persistent issues may also require a more integrative approach, blending dietary, lifestyle, and external treatments. Keep monitoring your skin’s condition, and don’t hesitate to seek personalized advice for a comprehensive strategy tailored to your body’s needs.
