Hello Harshitha, to address your concern about being underweight at 39 kg and 5.2 feet tall, it's essential to adopt a holistic approach that focuses on nourishing your body and enhancing your appetite. Start by incorporating calorie-dense foods into your diet, such as ghee, nuts, seeds, and dairy products like full-fat yogurt and paneer. Ayurvedic formulations can be highly beneficial; consider taking Aswagandha (Withania somnifera) to help build strength and vitality. You can consume it as Aswagandha churna mixed with honey. Additionally, Madhukalpam can be useful for enhancing appetite and promoting weight gain. Including warming spices like ginger and black pepper in your meals can further stimulate your digestive fire (Agni). Ensure you have regular meals, ideally three main meals and two snacks each day, while engaging in light physical activity to improve your appetite. A daily routine that includes gentle exercises, combined with a good sleep schedule, will help your overall well-being.

Hey Harshitha, I totally get why you’d be concerned — who wouldn’t be, right? So let's dive in. Ayurveda’s all about balance, and your symptoms might indicate a Vata imbalance. When Vata gets outta line, it often messes with your digestion, leading to weight loss and sometimes anxiety. So, first things first, fixin' that agni, or digestive fire, can be a game-changer. You’re gonna want to eat warm, cooked meals that are easy to digest. Think about something like a rich dal soup or kitchari, with a bit of ghee — helps in grounding Vata. Avoid raw salads or cold foods, as they can be tough on your digestion. Spices are your friends here. Things like ginger, cumin and black pepper enhance digestion and metabolism. Throw a pinch into your meals if you can. Also, have a glass of warm water with a little honey and lemon first thing in the morning. This’ll stoke that digestive fire of yours gently. Now, let’s talk routine! You need a routine that supports calming Vata: regular sleep, and meals at the same time every day. Seriously, your body would thank you! A short, relaxing yoga or meditation session also helps in keeping that nervous energy at bay. An oil massage then, Abhyanga, before showering can be really helpful. Use sesame oil — it’s warming and grounding. Just heat enough to be comfortable and massage thoroughly. Takes a bit of time, but adds moisture to those dry tissues and feels amazing. Ensuring you're not over-exerting yourself, overly intense exercise can actually drain your body. Aim for something like a gentle walk or yoga. Keeping your stress levels down is also super important. Stress can mess up digestion and metabolism, trust me. Remember to keep doctor in loop – it's practical to rule out any underlying conditions. And remember, these things take time; don't be too hard on yourself. You're working on it, and that’s what counts.
