Narasimha rasayana is a classical Ayurvedic formulation known to strengthen the body, improve immunity, promote longevity, and support hair health It works mainly on balancing vata and pitta picture often involved in hair fall Since your thyroid is low, hair fall is often partly due to this Narasimha rasayana can support their growth, but they cannot replace thyroid hormone therapy. If you’re already taking it. Most classical rasayana contain small doses of processed/ purified metals in bhasma form while they are safe when prepared correctly Ayurveda generally recommends avoiding such rasayan as during preconception and pregnancy If you are planning for conception stop before 3 to 4 months before conception For safer go with Amla juice bringaraja churna and scalp massage with Neelabringadi taila

Taking Narasimha Rasayana for hair fall can be beneficial, but it’s important to consider your hypothyroid condition as well. This Ayurvedic formulation primarily caters to issues related to improving strength, nourishment, and promoting hair health, so it may support your hair fall concern. However, with an underlying hypothyroid condition, your metabolism and other bodily functions may respond differently to herbal remedies.

Consult with an Ayurvedic practitioner or your thyroid specialist first. They can ensure that taking Narasimha Rasayana won’t interfere with your current medications or thyroid function. Combining Ayurveda with allopathic treatments, especially for thyroid, needs a cautious approach.

Also, since you are planning for a baby, it’s imperative to evaluate any Ayurvedic medicine thoroughly. Though Narasimha Rasayana isn’t specifically contraindicated during pre-conception, each individual’s constitution and medical history matters, which is why personalized advice is crucial.

In Ayurveda, hypothyroidism is often linked with imbalance of Kapha dosha and low agni (digestive fire). It’s worthwhile to maintain a Kapha-balancing diet. Warm, light, and easily digestible foods are recommended. Vegetables like spinach and pumpkin can help stimulate metabolism. Avoid cold, heavy, or greasy foods, as they can exacerbate Kapha. Regular yoga and pranyama practice can be beneficial as well. Nose deep breathing can improve circulation and aide in balancing hormones.

For hair, try external applications too. Gentle scalp massages with Ayurvedic oils like Bringharaj or coconut oil in combination with dietary changes may enhance the efficacy of rasayanas.

Ensure to get your thyroid levels checked regularly. Keep your healthcare providers informed about all supplements and changes in your regimen to maintain a seamless and safe treatment plan.
