What matters to me is not the number but going deep into each case—reading every complaint, understanding symptoms, prakriti, current state, season changes etc. and putting together a treatment that feels “right” for that person, not just for the condition. Like, I don’t do one-size-fits-all plans. I sit down, make case reports (yup, proper handwritten notes sometimes), observe small shifts, modify herbs, suggest diet tweaks, even plan rest patterns when needed. I find that holistic angle super powerful. And patients feel it too—some who come in dull n restless, over weeks show clarity, skin settles, energy kinda gets back... that makes the day worth it tbh. There’s no shortcut to trust, and i get that. Maybe that’s why patients keep referring their siblings or maa-papa too. Not bragging, but when people say things like “you actually listened” or “I felt heard”, it stays in the back of my mind even when I’m dog tired lol. My goal? A cough in Ayurveda is not just a throat problem. It is a signal from th body that vata and Kapha doshas have become imbalanced- mainly affecting the respiratory tract

WHY IT HAPPENS -expiosure to cold air or cold food/drinks -weak digestion or eating heavy foods that create mucus -residual infection or allergy -talking loudly or shouting -sleep immediately after eating -sudden weather change

When kapha increases, mucus builds up in the chest and thraot when vata increases, the cough becomes dry and frequent Since your cough is since 15 days and all investigations are normal this indicates a vata-kaphaja kasa

TREATMENT GOALS -removes accumulated kapha and ama (toxins) from the respiratory tract -soothe ad lubricate the throat and airways to reduce irritation -balance vata and Kapha doshas for long term relief -strengthens the lungs and immunity -prevent recurrence by improving digestion and resistance to infections

INTERNAL MEDICATIONS

आयुर्वेद में खांसी सिर्फ़ गले की समस्या नहीं है। यह शरीर से एक संकेत है कि वात और कफ दोष असंतुलित हो गए हैं - मुख्यतः श्वसन तंत्र को प्रभावित कर रहे हैं।

ऐसा क्यों होता है - ठंडी हवा या ठंडे भोजन/पेय के संपर्क में आने से - कमज़ोर पाचन या बलगम बनाने वाले भारी खाद्य पदार्थ खाने से - अवशिष्ट संक्रमण या एलर्जी से - ज़ोर से बात करना या चिल्लाना - खाने के तुरंत बाद सो जाना - अचानक मौसम में बदलाव

जब कफ बढ़ता है, तो छाती और गले में बलगम जमा हो जाता है

जब वात बढ़ता है, तो खांसी सूखी और बार-बार होने लगती है

चूँकि आपकी खांसी 15 दिनों से है और सभी जाँचें सामान्य हैं, यह वात-कफज का संकेत है

उपचार के लक्ष्य - श्वसन तंत्र से जमा हुए कफ और आम (विषाक्त पदार्थों) को बाहर निकालना - जलन कम करने के लिए गले और वायुमार्ग को आराम और चिकनाई देना - दीर्घकालिक राहत के लिए वात और कफ दोषों को संतुलित करना - फेफड़ों और प्रतिरक्षा को मज़बूत करना - पाचन और प्रतिरोधक क्षमता में सुधार करके पुनरावृत्ति को रोकना संक्रमण

आंतरिक औषधियाँ

1) शीतोपलादि चूड़ा = 1 चम्मच शहद के साथ दिन में दो बार, 4 हफ़्तों तक = वात-कफ को संतुलित करता है, कफ निस्सारक का काम करता है, सूखी या लगातार खांसी से राहत देता है

2) तालिसादि चूर्ण = 1 चम्मच शहद के साथ दिन में दो बार, 4 हफ़्तों तक = पाचन में सुधार, बलगम साफ़ करता है, फेफड़ों को मज़बूत बनाता है

3) यष्टिमधु चूर्ण = आधा चम्मच गर्म पानी के साथ दिन में दो बार, 4 हफ़्तों तक = गले को आराम देता है, जलन ठीक करता है, हल्का सूजनरोधी है

4) वास अवलेह = 2 महीने तक भोजन के बाद रोज़ाना 1 चम्मच = फेफड़ों को मज़बूत बनाता है, रोग प्रतिरोधक क्षमता बढ़ाता है

5) ब्रेसोल सिरप = 2 हफ़्तों तक 1 चम्मच = खांसी और श्वसनी-सहायता

बाहरी उपचार

1) भाप लेना = तुलसी के पत्तों या अजवाइन के बीजों के साथ पानी उबालें, दिन में एक बार 10 मिनट तक भाप लें दिन =बलगम साफ़ करता है, श्वास नलिकाओं को आराम देता है, जकड़न से राहत देता है

2) छाती की मालिश= गर्म सरसों के तेल में चुटकी भर नमक मिलाकर नहाने से पहले छाती और पीठ की हल्की मालिश करें =रक्त संचार में सुधार, साँस लेने में आसानी, वात को शांत करता है

घरेलू उपचार -अदरक+शहद= सूजनरोधी, खांसी से राहत देता है -रात में हल्दी वाला दूध= गले को आराम देता है, रोग प्रतिरोधक क्षमता बढ़ाता है -तुलसी की चाय= कफ साफ़ करता है, प्राकृतिक कफ निस्सारक -अजवाइन की भाप= कफ को खोलता है, जकड़न से राहत देता है -काली मिर्च+शहद= चुटकी भर पाचन में सुधार, बलगम निकालता है

आहार -गर्म, हल्का, आसानी से पचने वाला भोजन जैसे मूंग दाल का सूप, सब्जियों का सूप, चावल का दलिया, खिचड़ी -पीने के लिए गर्म पानी -हल्दी या मुलेठी वाला दूध -गले को चिकनाई देने के लिए थोड़ी मात्रा में घी -फल= अनार, अमरूद, पका हुआ सेब

से परहेज़ करें -ठंडा खाना, आइसक्रीम, दही, खासकर रात में रात -अत्यधिक मीठा और तला हुआ खाना -केला, तरबूज, खीरा, ठंडे खाद्य पदार्थ -भोजन के तुरंत बाद सोना

दैनिक दिनचर्या -शरीर और पैरों को गर्म रखें, खासकर शाम के समय -धूल, ठंडी हवा या नम जगहों के संपर्क में आने से बचें -उचित आराम और अच्छी नींद सुनिश्चित करें -दिन में एक बार गर्म नमक के पानी से गरारे करें

योग और प्राणायाम -अनुलोम विलोम = वात को संतुलित करता है और वायुमार्ग को शांत करता है -भ्रामरी = गले और मन को शांत करता है -सरल स्ट्रेचिंग और सूर्यनमस्कार = फेफड़ों की क्षमता और प्रतिरक्षा में सुधार करता है -भुजंगासन = फेफड़ों का विस्तार करता है -मत्स्यासन = छाती को मजबूत करता है -धनुरासन = श्वास में सुधार करता है -सेतु बद्धासन = जकड़न दूर करता है

Samashya ke liye sabse pehle, apni dincharya aur dietary practices par focus karna hoga. Ayurveda ke mutabik, digestive fire yaani ‘agni’ ko samabrakshak rakhna mahatvapurn hota hai, kyunki weak agni khansi ko aur bhi badha sakta hai. Aap halke aur pache jaldi jaane wale aahar ko apnao jaise moong daal ka soup, or khichdi. Thanda, oily, aur excessively heavy foods se bachne ki koshish karein.

Pippli or long pepper, ginger aur mulethi ka kaadha kisi garam paani me mila ke peene se halka aram vilom ho sakta hai, din me 2-3 baar aise peeye. Siddha-Ayurvedic dristi mein, ajirnatmak khansi adhiktar vata aur kapha dosha ka imbalance hota hai. Sitopaladi churna sahi raasta hai, lekin uska prayog aur bhi effective ho sakta hai agar uska saath sahi anupan diya jaye, jaise ki ghee ya madhu.

Then comes the plan—herbs (single or compound), some diet reshuffling, and always some lifestyle nudges. Sometimes they’re tiny, like sleep timing. Sometimes big like proper seasonal detox. Being into Dravyaguna helps me get into the depth of herbs more confidently. I don’t just look at the symptom—I think okay what guna will counter this? Should the drug be snigdha, ushna, tikta? Is there a reverse vipaka that’ll hurt the agni? I ask these questions before writing any combo. That’s made a huge diff in outcomes. Like I had this case of chronic urticaria that would flare up every week, and just tweaking the herbs based on sheetala vs ushna nature... helped calm the system in 3 weeks flat. Not magic, just logic. I also work with women who are struggling with hormonal swings, mood, delayed periods or even unexplained breakouts. When hormones go haywire, the skin shows, digestion slows, and mind gets foggy too. I keep my approach full-circle—cleansing, balancing, rejuvenating. No quick fixes, I tell them early on. What I’m hoping to do more of now is make Ayurveda feel practical. Not overwhelming. Just simple tools—ahara, vihara, aushadha—used consistently, with some trust in the body’s own healing. I’m still learning, still refining, but honestly, seeing people feel in control of their health again—that’s what keeps me rooted to this.

I’ve seen folks come in feeling lost in symptoms no one explained… and then walk out weeks later understanding their body better than they ever did. That, to me, is healing. Not chasing symptoms, but restoring rhythm. I believe true care doesn’t look rushed, or mechanical. It listens, observes, tweaks gently. That's the kind of Ayurveda I try to practice—not loud, but deeply rooted.

I am an Ayurveda doctor with about 1 yr of hands on clinical practice, still learning everyday from patients and the science itself. My journey started as a VOPD doctor with Hiims Hospital under Jeena Sikho Lifecare Ltd. For 6 months I was into virtual consultations, understanding cases online, preparing treatment protocols and doing follow ups to track progress. That phase trained me well in quick patient assesment and also in explaining Ayurveda in a way that fit with modern expectations. I dealt with many chronic and acute cases during that time.. things like gastric issues, joint pain, stress related complaints, skin problems. The remote setting forced me to sharpen my diagnostic skill and rely more on careful history taking, prakriti analysis, and lifestyle understanding. After that, I moved to a Resident Doctor role at Chauhan Ayurved and Panchkarma Hospital, Udaipur. This was very different.. more practical, hands on, and really grounded me in classical Panchakarma. I was actively part of planning and performing therapies like Vamana, Virechana, Basti, Abhyanga, Shirodhara, and other detox and rejuvenation procedures. Many patients came with long standing spine issues, metabolic disorders, skin complaints, or hormonal imbalance and I got to see how tailored Panchakarma protocols and lifestyle advice together can bring changes that medicines alone couldn’t. Working closely with senior consultants gave me better clarity on safety, step by step planning and how to balance classical texts with practical hospital settings. Now, whether in OPD consultations or Panchkarma wards, I try to meet patients with empathy and patience. I focus on root cause correction, using herbs, diet, daily routine guidance, and therapy whenever needed. My belief is that Ayurveda should be accessible and authentic, not complicated or intimidating. My aim is simple—help people move towards long term wellness, not just temporary relief. I see health as balance of body, mind and routine.. and I want my practice to guide patients gently into that space.

Doesn’t have to be complicated... it just has to be consistent. I keep up with research too—new drugs, diagnostics, cross-specialty updates etc., not because it’s trendy, but cuz it’s necessary. Patients come in better read now than ever. You can’t afford to fall behind. The end goal’s the same tho—help them heal right, not just fast. Ethical practice, evidence-based, and sometimes just being there to explain what’s going on. That’s what I stick to.
