For severe hair fall and constipation, it’s important to address both your internal balance and lifestyle habits. Ayurveda sees these issues through the lens of dosha imbalances, often linked to Vata or Pitta dosha disturbances. Here’s a tailored approach for you:

For hair fall, start focusing on a diet that is nourishing and calming to your scalp and hair follicles. Include foods rich in proteins and iron like lentils, legumes, leafy greens, and nuts such as almonds and walnuts. Consuming sesame seeds, black pepper, and amla (Indian gooseberry), either raw or in powder form, can be beneficial. Try drink a cup of fresh amla juice or use amla oil to massage your scalp twice a week. This boosts blood circulation and strengthens hair roots.

Avoiding processed foods, caffeine, and spicy dishes as they can aggravate Pitta, which might be a cause of your hair fall. Instead, incorporate relaxing yoga or meditation practices to reduce stress that can contribute to hair loss. Applying warm coconut or sesame oil to your scalp will help fight dryness, which can cause hair loss due to Vata imbalance.

For constipation, the focus should be on enhancing Agni (digestive fire). Begin your day with warm water mixed with a tablespoon of honey and half lemon, which stimulates digestion. Increase intake of fibrous foods like brown rice, vegetables, and whole grains. Also, hydrate regularly with warm water, which aids digestion, rather than cold fluids.

Introduce triphala powder before bed, which can help regulate bowel movements. Mix a teaspoon in warm water and ingest for relief. Physical activity is crucial in managing both hair fall and constipation. Incorporate 20-30 minutes of moderate exercise like brisk walking or yoga daily to keep your circulation and digestion in check.

Avoid stressors, ensure adequate sleep (7-8 hours a night), and follow a routine bedtime to align with natural body rhythms. If conditions persist despite these steps, consult an Ayurvedic physician for personalized treatment, as deeper imbalances might require more targeted intervention.

Based on your description, it seems like an imbalance in Vata dosha could be contributing to both your hair fall and constipation. In Siddha-Ayurveda, Vata controls movement and communication, such as in your digestive tract and your hair’s growth cycle. Addressing this imbalance involves dietary and lifestyle changes alongside some specific remedies.

First, consider your diet. Focus on warm, nourishing, and easily digestible foods to calm Vata. Include ghee, cooked vegetables, soups, whole grains like quinoa and rice, and spices such as cumin, turmeric, and black pepper. Avoid cold foods, dry snacks, and excessive caffeine, as these can aggravate Vata. Drinking warm water throughout the day can help maintain hydration and improve digestion.

For hair care, regularly massage your scalp with Brahmi or Bhringraj oil, which can strengthen hair and promote growth. Apply the oil, leave it on for an hour, then wash with a mild herbal shampoo.

To manage constipation, start your day with a glass of warm water and add soaked raisins or prunes if possible. Triphala, a traditional Ayurvedic formulation, taken in the evening with warm water or milk, can support regular bowel movements.

A Vata-pacifying lifestyle includes establishing a regular routine and incorporating grounding activities like yoga or meditation that calm the mind. Avoid overstimulation and chaotic schedules. Aim for 7-8 hours of sleep each night.

If your symptoms persist or worsen, consult with an Ayurvedic practitioner or healthcare provider for a tailored assessment and further treatment. Addressing Vata imbalance timely is essential to prevent long-term complications.
