is gulabari rose water good - #42328

Lucas

I am really confused about something troubling me for a while now. A friend of mine recommended that I try using gulabari rose water for my skin, but I honestly have no idea if is gulabari rose water good or not. I've always struggled with dryness and have tried countless moisturizers without much effect. It’s super frustrating! Just last week, I bought this huge bottle of gulabari rose water and started using it after my regular cleansing routine. At first, I thought it was working wonders, helping me feel refreshed, but then my skin started feeling oily?? Like, what is up with that? Maybe I’m using too much or just not applying it right? Also, I read somewhere online that is gulabari rose water good for sensitive skin, but I’m kinda scared to use it for too long because my skin gets irritated easily. I saw some reviews where people say it’s helped with acne too? Is that even a thing? Ugh, I don’t know if I should keep going with the gulabari rose water or look for something else entirely. Can someone please share their experiences? Like, if is gulabari rose water good for ALL skin types or just certain ones? I really need some help figuring this out before my skin ends up a total disaster!

Gulabari rose water is generally considered benefitial for skin due to its natural soothing properties. In Ayurveda, rose is often celebrated for its ability to balance Pitta dosha, responsible for inflammation and sensitivity issues, making it potentially good for irritated skin or breakouts. However, each individual’s skin is unique, and reactions can vary based on your skin type and any underlying imbalances.

Your experience of feeling refreshed initially but then noticing oiliness could be due to how much or how often you’re applying the rose water. It may be that using too much at once is overwhelming your skin, or if used with other products, it could interact in ways that increase oil production. Consider applying a small amount, perhaps using a cotton pad, and gently dabbing it onto cleansed skin. Once or twice a day usage is often enough, especially for dry skin that doesn’t need excess oil.

Regarding sensitive skin, rose water can be beneficial as it’s naturally calming. However, it’s possible the alcohol or other additives in some commercial rose waters might irritate, so ensure to check the ingredient list for any potential irritants. If you see alcohol, it could contribute to dryness or sensitivity. Look for a rose water that’s purely distilled if possible.

People have reported improvements with acne using rose water due to its cleansing and anti-inflammatory properties. But if your skin becomes overly irritated or symptoms worsen, it might be wise to discontinue use. Acne can be complex, linked to diet, stress or hormonal balances in Ayurveda, so sometimes topical solutions aren’t the only answer.

Remember, Ayurveda emphasizes the importance of understanding your Prakriti or constitution. If dryness is an ongoing issue, you might benefit from more moisture-rich ingredients. Ayurvedic herbs like Aloe Vera or Jojoba oil might offer deeper hydration. If unsure, consult with an Ayurvedic practitioner who can provide guidance based on your specific constitution and skin needs.

When it comes to using Gulabari rose water for skin care, its effects can vary depending on your unique skin type, especially considering ancient Ayurvedic principles. Rose water generally has a cooling and soothing property, and it is quite popular for balancing Pitta dosha, which is often indicated by skin inflammation and redness. However, given your specific issue with dryness, it’s possible that using rose water alone might not fully address your Vata imbalance, which typically leads to dry skin.

The initial refreshing feeling you’ve noticed is common due to rose water’s hydrating properties, but its application should be consistent with your overall skin type. If your skin started feeling oily after use, it might be that too much is applied, or it isn’t fully suitable for your skin’s current condition. Try using a small amount on a cotton pad, applying it gently over your cleansed skin to see if that helps reduce the oiliness.

Gulabari rose water can be fine for sensitive skin as it is generally mild, but everyone’s skin reacts differently. Patch testing is always a good idea before regular use, especially if you have a history of skin reactions. As for acne, while rose water can help with soothing irritation and maintaining pH balance, it’s not a sole treatment for acne. Ensuring your skincare routine includes products that target acne without over-drying the skin may work better.

Before you decide if you should continue using it, consider integrating it with other hydrating agents like aloe vera gel or a Vata-balancing moisturizer to see if it helps with dryness. If irritation persists or worsens, exploring other options might be beneficial. Remember, the goal is to align the products you use with your skin’s specific needs, considering the body’s unique dosha balance. Always maintain an open line with a dermatologist if adverse reactions occur or if you’re unsure about what’s best for your skin.
