I have been suffering from eczema for years. Is there any medication to treat it? Have tried all sorts but, to no avail.

Avoid oily, spicy and processed foods. Regular exercise and meditation. Increase intake of raw vegetables and fruits. Cap G T 2-0-2 Tab Arogya vardhini 2-0-2 Tab.Neem 2-0-2 Cutis cream for local application Follow up after 4weeks.

Eczema can be quite challenging, especially when it feels like you’ve tried so much without relief. Ayurveda focuses not just on alleviating symptoms but addressing the root imbalance causing them. Eczema is often linked to an imbalance in the doshas, especially increased Pitta (heat) and Vata (dryness). Here’s a detailed plan that integrates Ayurvedic principles:

Dietary Adjustments: Integrate a diet that pacifies both Pitta and Vata. Include cooling and hydrating foods like cucumber, watermelon, and coconut water. Favor sweet, astringent, and bitter tastes; think about leafy greens, squash, grains like quinoa and rice. Minimize or avoid spicy, sour, and fried foods which aggravate Pitta.

Herbal Approach: Certain herbs can be beneficial. You might consider applying a paste of neem leaves or turmeric to affected areas. They have anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties. Internally, consuming a blend of herbs such as Manjishtha and Guduchi can purify the blood and support healing.

Lifestyle Changes: Stress can exacerbate eczema, so practices like yoga and meditation can help calm the mind and body. Establish a daily routine with balanced work and rest, ensuring you get sufficient sleep, as rest is crucial for skin repair. Try to bathe with lukewarm water, and apply natural oils like coconut or sesame to keep the skin hydrated.

Therapies: Ayurvedic therapies such as Abhyanga (oil massage) with medicated herbal oils can be soothing. Consult with an Ayurvedic practitioner for therapies like Panchakarma for detoxification, which should be personalized to your constitution and current state.
