For cough, cold, and breathing issues persisting for a month, especially when already on steroids and allopathic medicines, it’s crucial to approach this with caution in combining treatments. Your current medications shouldn’t be stopped without consulting your healthcare provider.

In Ayurveda, conditions like your symptoms often involve an imbalance of Vata and Kapha doshas, which could disrupt the respiratory system function. Considering your PCOS, it’s important too maintain a balance that supports your overall hormonal health.

Adjust your diet slightly to minimize Kapha aggravation. Try reducing intake of cold, heavy, and oily foods which can increase Kapha. Favor light, warm, and easily digestible meals — think cooked vegetables, soups, and warm herbal teas like ginger or tulsi. Avoid dairy as it might induce more mucus production.

Breathing exercises (Pranayama) such as Anulom Vilom or Bhramari can be quite beneficial. These practices enhance lung capacity and clear the respiratory pathways. Perform them carefully, under guidance if you’re new to these exercises, and keep them gentle.

Herbal remedies like Sitopaladi Churna could help in easing cough and clear excess mucus, but it’s advisable to consult with an Ayurvedic practitioner for personalized dosage considering your current medication.

Regular steam inhalation with eucalyptus oil can further support clearing nasal passages and ease breathing.

With the ongoing PCOS, weight management through Ayurvedic diet and physical activities like yoga can help in overall balance.

Bear in mind, persistent symptoms or worsening breathing issues require prompt medical attention, prioritize safety and communicate frequently with your healthcare provider about both conventional and Ayurvedic treatments you are considering.
