Doctors' responses

Your symptoms suggest a need to support both your digestive health and gallbladder function, aligning with Ayurvedic principles. From the perspective of Ayurveda, the gallbladder issues and abdominal discomfort may root in imbalances related to your Pitta dosha and perhaps impaired agni, the digestive fire. Prioritizing regular dietary and lifestyle patterns will be pivotal in managing this condition.

First, establish a strict eating schedule. According to what you described, delaying meals triggers discomfort, likely reflecting an erratic agni. Eating at the same time daily ensures balance in your digestive system. Opt for a Pitta-soothing diet to ease your symptoms. This would typically involve including foods that are naturally cooling, astringent, and slightly bitter. Avoid spicy foods, deep-fried items, and excessive sour or salty foods which aggravate Pitta.

Incorporate foods like cooked leafy greens, zucchini, squash, and rice, which are gentle on your system. Eating smaller, more frequent meals through the day can prevent overwhelming your digestive fire. Drinking warm water regularly helps maintain digestive balance.

Consider trikatu churna, an Ayurvedic herbal blend, to support digestion. Take it with warm water before meals. Also, Triphala, taken at bedtime with warm water, can support overall gut health and gallbladder function by promoting cleansing and reducing inflammation.

In terms of lifestyle changes, avoid skipping meals and manage stress through practices such as Yoga and pranayama. Specifically, Nadi Shodhana (alternate nostril breathing) should help in reducing stress and balancing doshas. Ensure adequate sleep and rest to support body healing processes.

Given the complexity and chronic nature of your symptoms, it’s advisable to engage regularly with an Ayurvedic practitioner who can tailor treatments further to your specific needs. Meanwhile, ensure you maintain any ongoing medical surveillance and promptly address acute pain through conventional healthcare providers.
