For warts and itchy skin on the neck, focusing on underlying causes from an Ayurvedic perspective can be helpful. According to Ayurveda, warts can be associated with Kapha and Vata imbalance, while the itching and heat suggests some Pitta involvement. The coconut oil massage is a good move for calming Pitta and Vata, reducing heat and irritation. Let’s explore a few more steps you can take:
1. Dietary Adjustments: Minimize intake of sour, spicy and salty foods to help balance Pitta. Increase foods that are cooling and aid digestion, like fresh vegetables, fruits — coconut water can be beneficial.
2. Herbal Remedies: Applying Triphala powder paste locally might help with the warts. Use it with a little water or rosewater for better results. For internal support, Neem capsules can help purify blood and balance Pitta.
3. Additional Routine: Daily yoga and pranayama (specifically cooling techniques such as Sheetali and Sheetkari) help to regulate body heat and alleviate stress which can exacerbate skin conditions. Regularity in sleep and meals is also crucial.
4. Externally Applied Oils: While coconut oil is good, incorporating Neem oil or a herbal oil like Mahamarichyadi thailam, a drop at night before sleep, could assist in reducing warts.
5. Lifestyle Practices: Continue with yoga but also consider adding meditation focusing on cooling and calming the mind.
6. Hydration: Keep hydrated, sipping warm water throughout the day which aids digestion or kanji (rice water) is good as a simple detox.
If there’s no improvement, do consult an Ayurvedic practitioner who can provide treatments like panchakarma or kshar sutra if the condition persists. They can tailor a plan using more localized interventions. It’s important to ensure the holistic plan that matches your individual body constitution and current health status.
Thank you so much. I love Ayurveda. Am doing a number of these practices already, but I appreciate the Neem and other oils as suggestions. Thank you 🙏
Can I just check please- with the Mahamarichyadi thailam oil - is this to be used topically on the warts? Or a drop taken by mouth? Thank you 🙏
