How to keep my hair healthy. It is thin I am 61 years n it has very slow growth. Also I seem to have a dry patch on one knee . I apply camphor with coconut oil but it comes back🙏

Start by incorporating a diet rich in calcium, iron and protein—as hair needs these nutrients to grow well. Consider including warm, nourishing foods like whole grains, nuts, seeds, and leafy green vegetables; amla (Indian gooseberry) is particularly beneficial. Drinking a small amount of amla juice daily can work wonders. Also, ensure you stay hydrated, as dehydration can worsen thin, brittle hair.

Massaging the scalp with herbal oils is excellent for stimulating growth. Use Bhringraj oil or a mixture of sesame and coconut oils, infused with herbs like hibiscus and Brahmi—massage gently into the scalp, leaving it overnight if possible. Regular use can nourish the scalp and improve blood circulation, encouraging growth.

For the dry patch on your knee, while camphor with coconut oil is soothing, persistent dryness can indicate a Vata imbalance. Add a pinch of turmeric to a small amount of the oil mixture you’re using on the patch. Turmeric provides anti-inflammatory properties and can aid in healing. You might also consider applying aloe vera gel from the plant directly onto the patch, as its healing properties can help soothe irritation and encourage moisture retention.

Engage in daily practices such as yoga or meditation to reduce stress, which can negatively impact hair health. Avoid excessive shampooing—twice a week should suffice, using mild, natural products without harsh chemicals. Opt for air-drying your hair rather than using heat tools.
