Hello I totally get that it’s scary when your period is late, mainly when you’re usually on time and not trying to conceive. Breast tenderness makes it even worse. Let’s look at this without panicking, okay? YOUR CONCERN –Age: 30 –Married –Last period: Dec 30, 2025 –Today: Jan 30, 2026 –Period’s a day late –Usually super regular –Breasts are tender –Not trying to get pregnant HERE’S THE THING Being 1–3 days late is normal—even if you’re usually clockwork. What can cause this: –Stress –Travel or messed-up sleep –Hormone stuff –Ovulating later than usual Tender breasts happen: –Before your period –And also when you’re first pregnant So, it’s way too soon to stress. WHEN TO TEST –Don’t test today. –Wait: 👉 5–7 days after your period was due. –If you still don’t have bleeding in about 4–5 days do a morning urine test. –Testing now might give you the wrong answer. WHAT TO DO NOW For the next 5 days: –No alcohol –No painkillers –Eat normally –Don’t take anything to start your period just yet ±Let your body sort itself out, whether it’s just late or pregnancy. IF IT’S POSITIVE Don’t freak out. It’s safe to end a pregnancy early—but we need to be sure first. GOOD NEWS Being only 1 day late, There’s a good chance (over 70%) it’s just hormones. Chill out—worrying can make your period late. I’m here, so tell me updates in 5 days Warm Regards Dr. Snehal Vidhate
